I Remember My First Concert

I still remember it like it was yesterday.

It wasn't. George Michael, back when he wore the best jeans. Torn with his leather jacket before all the girls were disappointed. I even got a poster. I spent so much money and my best friend and I got to go without parents. It was awesome.

    Altered Image

I was 17.  Some new found school friends invited me to a concert after I’d moaned long and hard that they’d all gone to see local heroes Bauhaus play at the Royal Theatre without inviting me.  They didn’t know I liked music so why would they?   So, they said I should...

Litterally a month ago I went to see my boys in

concert and god. Niall's crouch grab killed me. Liam just talked a lot not that I'm complaining cause damn. Harry kept apologizing for his dirty solos. Zayns hot stare, and louis' jokes are life. It was crazy being in the same place and seeing them in concert. I love them so...

I remember that my first concert was

Trans-Siberian Orchestra. I didn't want to go see an "orchestra" and for that reason, I argued with my parents about going. Eventually, I gave in reluctantly and went with them to watch. We sat in the second row and I noticed the stage looked like anything but an orchestra pit...

BB&T (then BankAtlantic) Center. I think it could've been better for me since there were so many tall people (I was in GA) and I somehow managed to sneak in my DSLR but ended up with mostly crap pictures :( regardless I was literally in the same room with one of my fave artists...

Carol King and Arlo Guthrie in Washington DC,

late 60s, I think. Then saw Steppedwolf right after that. Lived close enough to go to DC, Richmond, VA, Norfolk VA, Baltimore. Saw James Gang, Cat Stevens, Lee Michaels, Alice Cooper, The Who, Stones, and bunches of others at peace marches and in Georgetown.

    Long Time Ago

My parents took me to a Steely Dan concert when I was 4 or 5...I knew all the words because my mom played it in the car. Sung them all with a lisp...my favorite was "Ricky Don't You Lose That Number". I still remember most of the words. And I still have the t-shirt. I...

I was 14 and I saw Tom Jones live at the

entertainment centre in Sydney. I only knew of one of his songs as my aunt was a massive fan. We had the nose bleed seats and binoculars.. It was a funny experience seeing all the ladies throw their knickers and bras onstage.

They Might Be Giants in Boston last April.

We got there an hour early, and we ran into my mom's friend. There was a restaurant next door to where the concert was, so we were at a table. But, I didn't get a chair. Huge mistake. I was already tired from standing for an hour, then we were waiting to get in. We finally got...
