    And It Was Scary!

In fact, my first two driving lessons were scary! My very first lesson was in the middle of an English winter, in the pitch dark, in country lanes with deep snow everywhere and a driving blizzard coming at me. When the instructor arrived I asked if he'd rather re-schedule the...

    Dodgy Instructor

I remember my first driving lesson, I was 17 and the instructor picked me up from school. We then sat in the side streets while he told me all about his car and what to do and the whole time I sat there thinking how slimy and creepy he was!!! Still he was smaller than me. We then...

    I Was 12........

And my dad let me drive the car for the first time. It was an old Pontiac with an automatic transmission and everything was going extremely well until my dad told me to turn right at the next street, which happened to be a dirt road. I did. However, I didn't realize I needed to...

    Learning To Drive.

    Dear Old Dad

My dad was my driving teacher. He thought he was a great driver, and he was a sunday school teacher.  So I sat in the drivers seat while he showed me the ropes. At first he told me to just coast so I could get the hang of steering. That went fine. Once my foot was...

    On The Road....

I do remember my first driving lesson...my father taught me and we went across a few major bridges and the highway, my first time out....and in many different weather conditions, his motto was that driving was never going to be a perfect experience and that I should be acclimated...
