    i remember very clearly

when I found out Santa wasn't real. I was a full-blown Santa Claus believer too, milk and cookies and all that. I will never forget that day I was ill and lying on my granny's couch while her and my mother were in the kitchen doing what they did...they thought i was napping...

I was six years of age,

and just too logical to believe that tale. How old were you When you knew the truth? Now the facts of life was another story. That one was harder to accept. :) What was your experience? Who told you about the birds and the bees? My cousin told me and I said, "Your mom and dad...

Yes, Virginia, There Is a Santa Claus...

My older brother is the one that told me about Santa not being a real person. I remember asking my mom about it.  I've carried her answer with me ever since. She told me that "Santa" was the picture that represented all the kindness, goodness, and the spirit of...

    My mom basically eliminated Santa,

the Tooth Fairy, and the St. Patrick's Day leprechaun in one fell swoop. When I was 5 years old and my brother was 7, she sat us down and told us that none of the three existed. I have a feeling it had to do with my Christmas list that year asking for $1 million and a pool. XD...

    Oh. I was TRULY disgusted!

! I mean, we'd had dialogue for YEARS!! That time of year would roll around and the folks would suggest writing a list of things I might like. I'd write it. Also drop in a line about how he was holding up. Given what a stressful time it must be for him and all. He'd write back...

I was 12 and this girl in my class was telling

the teacher how some kid told her sister that Santa wasn't real. The teacher said something about how the girl's sister was too young to know that yet. When I heard that, it just clicked in my head. Santa wasn't real. I started bawling, but got over it pretty quick.
