    Small Things

Spare change really adds up. I've banked almost $100 in rolled spare change once. About fifty of that was toonies. It surprised me but was a good lesson. The small things add up to a big impact. - K

    Change In A Bucket

I've been saving change since I was in college. I found this tall plastic container with a latch that someone left on the dorm's "charity table" and began using that as my change jar. It's gotten pretty full (it's about a foot tall) and for Christmas this year, I received an...

Saving For When It Rains.. Or Is Sunny.

I try to save all my change at the end of the day. While traveling for work, every night I get back into my motel room, I throw my change into a spare lunchbox. Saving the change has came in handy, for hard times when the extra money has been needed, or for when you want to go...

    Charity Coin Collections!

It is surprising how much you can save, just with small coins! I keep mine for charity. My own charity runs coin collections from time to time. We just had one that ended yesterday, for a school in Argentina. Now I, and some other volunteers, will have to count up other people's...

    It All Adds Up

A while ago, my aunt came back from DisneyWorld and bought me a plastic Snow White piggie bank. I put it to good use and saved and saved and saved for a while. It was getting pretty heavy, so I decided to go ahead and count all the coins in there and take the load to the bank...

    It All Adds Up

We have a big beer mug in our kitchen that we put spare change in.  The last time it was full (which was about a month and a half ago), I counted it and and rolled the change, and we had about $75.00.  I just love that - it's like when you get out your winter coat from...

    It's a Great Surprise

Every time I use cash, I always save whatever change I have. Even if it ends up being a few bucks throughout the day. Sometimes my g/f will have $1-$10 in change that she doesn't feel like holding onto so I'll kindly buy it from her and throw that into my change jug as well. Last...

Whenever I have anything under a 50p, I put it in my piggy bank on my dressing table. Every couple of months I empty the piggy bank and count the coins out. It's surprising how much you can save up in a small time! 20ps add up quickly and I've just counted out £10 of them...
