I love, love, love this movie....and no matter how many times I watch it; I still can't help crying at the end everytime.  I know every song and practically every word!

I Had to Be Talked Into It

Originally, I had no interest in seeing this film.  I didn't hear a lot about it that made me think it would be for me. Then, a friend of ours raved about it...a friend who I couldn't imagine liking the movie as I had seen it portrayed in commercials and the such. ...

    What Absolute Crap

Baz Luhrman and Nicole Kidman should forever be banned from making movies, together or otherwise I wouldn't watch Australia if my life depended on it

    Such Color!

I just watched Moulin Rouge again the other day.  It had been a long time since I watched it last and watching it again was a treat!  I love the rich use of color in the movie...and the storyline is so tender.  The music just grabs me!  I'll have to watch...

    And Loved It

this movie is epic and amazing. i'm one of those cynical, bitter, sarcastic people who hate sappy love stories, but i honestly can't get enough of this one. it's one of those rare movies that makes me feel romantic, that makes me have hope that true love exists. i feel gross just...

I love how they made the decision to name the

characters Satine and Christian, like light and dark, devilish/sinful to holy/righteous. Overall beautifully done!!!

The Greatest Thing You'll Ever Learn

Had seen it some time ago, and remembered the feverishness of Baz Luhrman's(sp?) direction. This reminded me of Ken Russell's movies. Moulin Rouge is perfectly cast and was moving beyond anything I can describe here. Many scenes between Satine and The Writer are among the most...

    Moulin Rouge Disappointment

I absolutly loved the movie, so much so that when I visited Paris a few years ago I insisted on seeing the real Moulin Rouge!  What a huge disappointment!  The movie was such a romantic movie along with all the drama.  the real Moulin Rouge is a dump!  Very...

    Ho Hum

Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor… it was okay. I think I expected so much more. Oh well, it did well in the awards department and I did enjoy the music.
