    I Liked It

I'm a sucker for a good sci-fi flick, especially one that has a good story to it. A lot of the movie had a good message about destroying nature for the sake of progress.

    Pleasantly Surprised

I went to see this movie with mixed expectations.  I never doubted that as a James Cameron flm that it would look less han perfect, but I wasn't sure how wll the story would be handled.  It isn't a new story; one group invade an area and kill off the local population in...

    To Predictable

I went and saw AVATAR with friends who HAD to have the 3-D experience. I could have lived without it, made me motion sick. The movie was visually beautiful but to predictable really how many video games did he take from for this movie? I am not surprised it is...

    Mixed Reaction

At times it made me think I was watching a remake of "Dances With Wolves" and at others Disney's Pocahontas. There was one scene that had "Colors of the Wind" started playing I would not have been surprised as I was hearing it in my head at the time anyway. So it wasn't a new...

Well ? Yes It Was Very Good

I have turned into a critic . It was well done  everything but I still looked at it as a cartoon but I love my cartoons. I saw facial expressions and heard screaming and love making but unable to feel the emotion that I feel from actors. Mind you I had to sit on the very...

    Just The Effects

Avatar is the beginning of the new era of 3D movies, and for that I respect it. It doesn't have the story line of a classic, but it has some components. It is groundbreaking. I have never seen 3D like it, the effects were amazing and mind blowing. It wasn't all it was hyped up...

    ...and Loved It!

I loved the spirituality of the natives! It reminded me of how the Native Americans had their land taken from them. I almost cried in a few scenes and was on the edge of my seat in others.

    1 Billion Dollars.

My boyfriend and I saw it in the Loews on 34th Street, in 3D of course.  It was amazing.  I wanted to cry at a few parts.  People were giggling and going "ooooo" at this one particular scene...if you saw the movie you could probably guess what part I'm talking...

Fisher From Bones Plays In Avatar

sometime in december, my cousin and  i went to see Avatar. One of the tall scientist dudes with the big nose was from one of the newer episodes of Bones. In Bones he plays as Fisher. Before Avatar came out, Fisher, Hodgens, and Sweets were all waiting in tents and taking...

    Folly

So I watched this movie again, actually this was the third time. I still got the Dances with Wolves meets Disney's Pocahantus feeling and the visuals were still every bit as stunning but this time it did provoke a different thought as well. Actually it is more of a question than...

    Like Entering A Dream

Much better than I expected!  My nephew really wanted to see it, and I expected it to be about being an avatar in a video game. Instead, it was about avatars entering a magical world on another planet. I loved the species and their values. We saw it in 3D, which I recommend...
