I should have known it was not within me to receive.  I was grateful, very very grateful, but I can never trust a gift as being fully mine.  Everything is subject to be broken or taken away, we cannot provide lifelong guarantees, even if that gift does not come...

I should have known that giving that part of me to him, meant it was gone forever. Now, I'd love to be able to feel the anger again, but I don't think I ever will. So Be It.

    I Should Have Known.

shoulda, coulda, woulda. those are all bunk for people who want to make their mistakes into regrets. if i shoulda done something else, or a i coulda, i woulda. its better to learn from your mistakes and often its not too late even to fix mistakes before they turn into regrets.

    I Should Have Known.

The memories, they haunt me everyday. They manifest and become something so real. Like a ghost, that visits me everyday, and reminds me of the things you've said, your smile, that gleam in your eye, and your faithless promises. I should have known. I should have listened to that...
