Sometimes An Escape, Sometimes a Necessity

The title of my entry pretty much sums it all up.  Sometimes extra sleep is a necessity.  I have a young daughter who causes me to sometimes loose sleep.  Sometimes, extra sleep is just a way to not have to deal with the things that need to be dealt with. ...

I sleep too much! I hate

that I'm not a go getter no more. I'm experienced, degreed intelligent but all I want to do is shut out the world because of fear of rejection. I sleep 12-14 hours a day. This has been my routine for the past month. Any sleepers out there? I know this is pretty extreme

    Sleep's A Drug

I really struggle with sleeping too much!! It's a pattern i got into over the years, and a very tough cycle to break.  I am also a recovering addict, and i can see soooo many parallels between sleeping too much and escaping with drugs. It's a time when i don't have to...

    I fall asleep too much.

I just get so tired most of the time. I fall asleep at Math class, resulting in a gap between my knowledge...well, that's only occasional. I take naps over the weekend, and I just lie around in my bed sometimes, or couch, because they're so comfy I don't want to get up. Soon I...

I Chase Sunday Dreams As I Sleep.

Sunday mornings are for sleeping. Esp. yesterday with our time change. I rose and had a cup of coffee at the usual time. Then I said heck with this and back to bed until 10:30, as the weather was 36 degrees outside. Nature can chase the morning frost and...

    Am I Hiding?

I keep messing up my sleep cycle.  It's partly because I'm unemployed and there's not that much I really need to do.  But looking online for work is starting to seem like drudgery; there's hardly been anything to apply for in the last two weeks.  My...

    The Weekends Are A Problem...

I don't work, really, so the weekends don't mean all that much. And yet, somehow, I manage to sleep way more during Saturday and Sunday than on the other days. I often go to sleep even earlier on the weekends than normal. I freak myself out that way. I will go to sleep at 9-ish...

    Far Too Much...

I can easily sleep 10-12 hours in one night.  I could probably sleep longer too, but I force myself to get up.   To be fair, I am getting better.  I discovered that the primary cause of my tiredness is an iron deficiency.  I can now force myself to wake up...

It's My Way to Hide From Pain

I've been resisting sleeping too much for years.  I know it's my unconscious way of avoiding discomfort and pain.  I sleep because my ego thinks it's the most pleasurable thing to do at the moment.  I can afford to-maybe that's my problem. ...
