I Smile At Strangers

Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 15,662 People

But They Think I'm An Alien

When I smile at people on the street, I get the weirdest looks.  You would think I had 3 heads or something.  After a few interactions like that, I stop looking at people altogether and just pretend I am one of them.  It's very rare that I come across someone...

For the first time in a

while I had a good day. School wasn't so bad. I went out to eat with a friend & I gave money to a homeless family which made me feel good to know that I somewhat made a difference in someone else's day because I feel like I don't do that often

I love to always have a smile on my face.

I love to share a smile with family, relatives, friends, and even strangers. Giving out a nice smile to someone should and will always make someone's day go brighter for them. I love a nice smile in return from others too because that will always brighten up my day.

.............. Normally I like smiling at strangers, however today I had to try to keep my smile under wraps as I had a mouth full of Anesthetic which made me look weird and lopsided when I smiled................

    I'm almost always smiling anyway.

A smile is something you can fake till you make. Forcing a smile when you're upset starts to release endorphins and pretty soon you're happy. Seeing a smile triggers endorphins and can make you happy. So make someone feel good and smile today.

I feel like all anyone really wants is to be

noticed by anyone. They want to know that everything is okay. I feel like a smile lets people know that the day will be good. So if I smile at someone and they smile back I like to think I might have just changed their day a little bit for the better :)

Smiling at strangers (for me) reinforces the

The World That Lost It's Smile
