    With not having friends

and all, I watch everyone walk by, with smiles on their faces, and I'm jealous of that smile and the person smiling back at them, laughing at inside jokes and having fun. I miss that. I feel so strange.

I feel like this most days.

People don't get me sometimes. Next time I make a joke that people don't laugh at (as they always do), I will stare off into the distance and sadly whisper the name of this experience.

Remember in "Invasion of the Bodysnatchers"

when Dr. Bennell discovers the identity of the aliens? Well, I feel like the aliens: People think I'm "normal"---until they look into my eyes.

    Something radically different.

..I have an interesting idea for all of the independent thinkers, adventurers, and misfits out there. I started a new blog called "outsider olympics". I have always felt like an outsider, and I don't see it as a bad thing, although I do often wish I could feel a greater sense...

    Travelling

I am from the UK but travelling all through S America at the moment. S America certainly is unusual - but the strangest thing is I always felt a complete stranger in the country where I was born and lived for 36 years. These places on the other side of the world seem more...

It is not a strange feeling to feel this way.

I feel like that odd girl in a small village in the middle of nowhere. Except my entire country is that small village.

    This might sound really weird

but sometimes it's like I space out for a minute and I get a really disgusted and horrible feeling like i'm in the wrong place or like i'm living in some sort of alien world. And i start thinking stuff like 'Why am I here, I don't belong in this place.' It goes away after some...

I Have Often Felt This Way...

...because of being on the Autistic Spectrum! I am also a member of a site called "Wrong Planet" that is especially made for those people who are like me- on the same Spectrum.I guess saying "feeling like a stranger in a strange land" could pretty easily be compared with that, in...

Everything that happened to me (

and I can tell you I had a full and mostly sad life till now) seems to me strange. A dream beyond my control. Who am I? What is it all about? What is this bed I am sitting on? I mean.. I can see everything, I can touch everything but essentially..everything seems so unreal...

    I Just Went For Pizza

I sat waiting for my pizzas.  I normally dislike waiting for anything.  Tonight I wasn't in a hurry.  I was actually enjoying the solitude away from a hectic house.  The longer I waited the more deep in thought I found myself.  I was barely aware of my...

    I sat in a McDonald's eating dinner,

feeling numb because what started out as an excellent day went unfortunately wrong. As the salt on my French fries bit at my tongue, soft and gentle tones came into reason. Classical music was playing. A beautiful symphony, actually. The dichotomy of eating fast food and...
