    To keep things vague,

I'll just say this: I speak 2 languages, but it's nothing special since everyone in my area does. We just don't use one of them that much unless there are tourists around who want us to. And I really suck at writing in it, but I think I'll actually work on that.

I am leading Arabic and Spanish.

I think I will do good in both languages. I always wanted to learn Spanish. I love Latin literature. I am also interested in Muslim Leader, Muhammed. (Pubh). I have read about him ; the more I read the more I became fascinated by his Charismatic Manhood. And there is Latin...

Well technically I speak 3 languages

since I'm Indian. But, after 7 years in Australia, my Indian accent is down to like 10% maybe 15%..very subtle. Still, it's always fun to just kick in the ol' Indian accent as a joke. It's the funniest thing when people ask me "oh wow, you're English is really good, when did you...

    I Don't Really "speak" It

I am learning ASL at school, and I am in my 2nd year. I can sign to deaf people and normal people, and can understand what they say a lot of the time. So I think it counts as "I speak another language"...I just speak it with my hands.

    Lets just open this up

so you can learn a few cool things about myself. I am currently in process of becoming fluent in Creole. I met someone from Haiti who began to teach me a little bit and I fell in love with the language. My goal is to become fluent and be able to visit Haiti in a way that most...

While I was on vacation in Bali last August,

I had the added advantage of being able to understand the locals there. However the Malay language I speak, is closer to Malaysian than it is to Indonesian, so there were some words that I didn't understand. I went on a cycling tour through the rural villages, but I hadn't been...

Okay so I speak a few languages,

but that's not the point. What irritates the **** out of me is when grammar nazi's try to correct me when I messed up the syntax. Do you ever do that? Write or speak in your 2nd or 3rd etc. language but accidentally use the syntax rules from your 1st?

The language I speak most fluently is English,

which is funny because it's the secondary language in my country. I can also speak Malay (official language here) - though the local dialect is more comfortable for me. I'm half-Chinese, but can barely speak basic Mandarin, I can understand better than I speak it though (however...

Sort of. My Mandarin is almost non-existent

but most of the time I can understand certain words; I'd sort of get the gist of what they'd be saying. But there are times I'd get it completely wrong. My sister is the same. The other day she wanted to order lunch at a Chinese restaurant. She confidently ordered a plate of...

There's a saying in Malay - "makan gaji buta" -

I don't know what the English equivalent is. But a direct translation is "eat blind salary". It basically means you get paid without actually doing work. This is how I feel about some of the people I have to work with.
