Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 111 People

    They Are Yours

You paid for them, if you paid for the room. if you don't have a room there and sneaked in, that's another story. When you go to the hospital, everything in your room belongs to you when you leave, except the linen. I think thats the way it is in hotels, too.I get a handful of...

    It Isnt Stealing

Of course I take them with me, but it's hardly stealing.  They are paid for with the cost of the room...:) I put them in a little basket in the guest bathroom.  Very handy for overnight guests that might have forgotten something.

I Don't Even Use the Stuff On My Own Hair!

I do use it to wash my make-up brushes, though.  I don't really need to steal them any more, though.  My dad has started stealing them for me lol.

I once got one of them for a christmas present from my Auntie. It was one of those stocking presents really, so I reckon she was running out of ideas or money. Either way it was very nice :) I shall have to start accidently putting them into my bag too if they look nice and I don...

Ah, the Little Things In Life

They're so convenient for travel purposes. How could you not take them? I also take the shower caps for my shower cap collection.

    Is It Really Stealing?

With the price of hotels, is the cost of these toiletries not included in the room rate?  I always take the soap, conditioner, lotion, and shampoo away when I leave the hotel.  If I am staying multiple nights I always remove the toiletries each day as I don't like items...

    Every Hotel...

I have got shampoo and shower gel from over 20 different hotels all over the world.   A big tip for all the lovers: Hilton Hotels give you huge bottles for free and they smell terrific. I still use their shampoo with lemongrass & kiwi smell... Lovely!

    Is It Really Stealing?

Okay, if I pay for the room and they supply the shampoo there, then how could it be stealing? I don't think they would resupply the next guest with used bottles of shampoo! Do you? After my stay, if there is any left then I do take them with me! No sense in wasting...

    They're So Pretty!

I never really use them at home; I just like little bottles of stuff, and once in a while if I'm going on a camping trip or sleeping over at someone else's place, I'll dunk a few of those in my bag, and I'm set.  They're so convenient, and they smell nice too.  =D

    I'm a Packrat...

I've always been a packrat, and I still have bottles of shampoo from hotels from when I worked at one a few years back.  I like mini-things; perhaps because I'm a small person.  If I cleaned a room, and they didn't claim the shampoo/conditioner, I'd pocket it.  I...

    Shampoo & Mini Soap

Many do steal those little bottles of shampoo or their mini bar soap from Hotels or Motels.  I'm not one of those.  If I happen to forget mine, I will use theirs and bring it back home since I have opened it or else, I don't.  I like mine better, there's more lather to my...

    They're So Cute!

My obsession with the little bottles and soaps started when I was a little kid.  My dad would bring them home to me after going on vacation or business trips.  One year he was doing business in St.  Louis.  He would fly out on monday mornings and fly home on...

I love that stuff. We just stayed at a Bed and Breakfast recently and they had the best smelling soap (Tea Olive soap) I have ever smelled in my life. There was a wicker shelving unit in the bathroom in front of a linen closet so I had my boyfriend help me move it. In the...

    Here's Denial For You...

It isn't stealing if they are there for your use & there is no charge for them.  I take them home with me, so I have a stop-gap when I run out at home.  It's all about being frugal! The shampoos...the conditioners...the soaps...the sewing kits...the shower caps...
