I Still Have My Tonsils

I haven't removed my tonsils, and don't plan to anytime soon.

they swell and get infected occasionally.. I had that feeling when they swell.. and its hard to swallow... I would not be in a hurry to have them removed unless they were really bad regularly...I believe they are there for a good reason...

My sister got her tonsils out when she was about 5 years old. They thought I might need mine out a few years back because I have a bit of a tongue thrust when I swallow, but I held onto the suckers.

they gave me such grief when I was younger, Id get tonsillitis once or twice a year, and Im allergic to a few antibiotics, so I had to have the crap ones. And I have a dodgy chest that gets infected easily, and the tonsillitis...

Yep...I still have tonsils... and I've never had a problem with them.

I guess they figure they have it made, compared to the parts on the other business end.
Still, I miss being a part of the cliche of the kid in the hospital bed with the ice cream.
 

I have yet to have them removed. They are doing just fine.

I used to get tons of sore throats and ear infections as a kid...my parents never took me to a dr for them tho, ppl didn't run to drs all the time like they do now...and something had to be really bad before they'd have surgery back...

I still have them!  It makes me sad when people have them removed just in case.  Several of my cousins had that done and they have all kinds of throat infections now that they didn't get before.  I've never had one! ...

When I was younger they used to give me so many problems! Always got infections and stuff, always swollen - I don't know why they never took them out!! I'm okay now though, they never bother me, I hardly ever get ill now! If they take...

Every year  I get sick again and again with throat infections, strep and any thing else that can befall my poor throat.
They are apparently very big ;)
