Hi Tim,

I'm one of the Stanford GSB students you had lunch with in the Spring at Stanford, I took your advice and got in touch with GetFriday. Yet, despite filling out all of the forms, they were very disorganized and unresponsive. My guess is that they've been swamped after your books release. Have you heard similar stories? Do you know of any other services that are good?

Matt

Hello,

I have always been a wild child traveled around and did what I wanted in life. I recently met my husband and we had all these great plans for him to finish school, while he and I worked. Then he would get a great job and it would reverse and I could go back to school!!! However, plans came to a stand still when we found just how much school he has left now that he has to work more hours.

I planned to have kids when I am 27 or so, that way I am still a bit youthful and am not tired and cant fully play with my kids. My husband also said he would like me to be a stay at home mom because we both dont like all the stories of awful babysitters. So as of now I feel like Im working insane hours to help get my husband through school, and by the time its my turn to go back to school, it will be time for kids!! I feel like im running out of time to do things and thats scary. I went from a Free Spirited person to what now seems like a bird with clipped wings. Im I completly wrong for thinking this way?? What can I do to get the best out of life even WITH time restrictions!? Thanks for your time.

Tim even though I USED to be a freelance writer, it has been too many years since I have completed anything and had anything puplished.  Do you write at the same time every day?  Or do you just block off 4 convenient hours during the day to write ?  OR do you just write as soon as an inspiration hits you ?  Maybe its just about discipline.  I also had a regular newspaper and magazine I wrote for regularly.

Thanks for being here to help us.  csan

I have a question for Tim Ferris.  I am a mother of 2 children and would like to work from home.  I have to work to help with the bills.  But I also have to pay daycare expenses when I go to work, so I'm left with very little after the babysitter is paid.

I am a very well skilled administrative assistant, I type 60+ wpm and over 9000 cph for data entry.  I have looked on the net and I seem to find every scam out there!  HELP!

Tim, do you have any suggestions on how I can find a job that I can work from home??

Thanks!

Cheleanne

Hi Tim,

I read your book at the best time in my life to read it, when I was just starting over (or just starting if you know me). I work 10 hrs a day 6 days a week and thats not including to and from there which is 45mins on a good day. That is not much time as you can see, but I do it with the single goal of starting a small virtual business. It is hard for me to stay balanced like this but it's that or take a huge cut in pay to free up more time. I am also going into the sports supplementation industry and was wondering if you had any advise on resourses for someone like me or a more detailed org. chart than the one in your book? Also how can I balance working for start up money with actually starting up? How did you do it? Any help would be welcome and thank you for your book, I have been saying it for years, until your book I felt really alone in my view that it was not O.K. to work until we were too old to enjoy it. Now when I try to help people who are as miserable as I was I have a leg to stand on and I could not make it through the day without knowing I was only there planing my escape.

Regards,

 Mike E.
