Pain, Pain, Pain Please Go Away

Here I sit after midnight, wishing for sleep but only wishful thinking tonight. Much pain today, the burning was so bad today it feels like someone took a wood maul dipped it in hot hot coals stuck it in the back of my neck then they hit it with a sledge hammer. And it radiates...

    All Gone :)

Last Thursday I had day surgery that has worked wonders already. The surgeon made a tiny cut, it's less than an inch long, moved my nerves out of the way, ouch, and made a tiny incision in the sheath around my tendon. The worst part was coming round after the anesthetic wore off...

You Don't Look Like You're In Pain.

It really bothers me, that people say "You don't look like you're in pain." Well I AM! Unless someone's been in pain for a long time...they don't get how life altering, chronic pain is! They think you want out of something....well YEAH I DO!!!! I want out of pain!!!!!

People Who Don't Deal With Chronic Pain Don't Understand

We don't do it to get pills, or attention, or illicit sympathy. Pain is a part of our everyday lives and something we try to learn to live with, but it's hard. My story started when I was 14. I was diagnosed with moderately severe scoliosis. I have two curves in my spine...
