I average 27 migraine days per month. My medication makes me feel like crap. I think I may try juicing as a remedy. Has anyone tried this, and if so, was it effective for YOU?

    I have suffered from migraine

since I can't remember and diagnosed at 16 yrs old. I used to get them on very hot weather or for other reasons, now I get them almost everyday, I would take maxalt once a month or not at all if I can handle it. Unfortunately I work at nights so it's quite double the suffering...

Since I was 12, which is pretty typical, I've gotten migraines. They run in my family, so it's no big surprise. Sadly, I spent those years in foster care and had no idea - just a bunch of people telling my it was all in my head. I was like "you don't say?" When I hit my...

    My migraines are getting worse.

I had been on Botox injections for a while but it didn't help. Not sure what I will do next. I have had a headache everyday for the last 15 years.

    Hate Migraines

I've had migraines for over 20 years; usually 2-3/week.  Been taking topamax for years with some success, but the side effects suck, especially the memory loss (there's a reason they call it dope-a-max).  After 4 years of lobbying the insurance company they finally...

I have one now. I don't know the exact cause.

Feels like I'm being hit over the head repeatedly, or like it's being squeezed. It's becoming unbearable. Does anyone else experience this?

The Power To Heal Is Within

I heard in the news that The National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) has recommended that Botox be used on patients who suffer with chronic migraines. They are speculating that it might even be offered on the NHS (National Health Service).  With all the cutbacks, can...

    It's Horrible

    I grew up undiagnosed,

often ocular or silent migraines making me feel bizarre without a good answer why. It took a really bad migraine in my 20's to finally get a diagnosis. They very much run in the family, though my parents tended to get more classic migraines, and neither they nor previous doctors...

    Worst one ever

I’ve had a migraine for about three days now, but it wasn’t too bad until about midway through yesterday. I usually get the visual problems and manage to avoid the headache part by popping painkillers, as soon as I know there’s one coming. Usually, that works. Then...

    About Painkillers

So I heard in the news that the "experts" have finally worked out that taking painkillers for headaches could make them worse. For years I was taking prescription drugs for migraines but they didn't work. I would then ask my doctor for a stronger dose and so it went on and the...

Getting Old Does Have Some (slight) Advantages...

I used to have severe migraines.  Used to.  It started in my teens-it was a menstrual problem.  I haven't yet gone through "the change",but I don't have such migraines anymore.  I think this comes from my being so much older (I'm in perimenopause), and I can also attribute it...

I had one that started quite early this morning.

There were no warning signs as I woke up into it. Usually I'll get blind spots and flashing lights in my eyes, as well as pins and needles and I'll become really confused and anxious. I've started a migraine diary. My mother and sister both suffered with migraines quite badly...
