I Support Fair Trade

    As Much As I Can

I use mainly fair trade tea and coffee products and also sugar and biscuits often.  I am responsible for ordering in work, and very much have a Fair Trade Policy there also. In regards to other products, I try and buy as many things as I can in Oxfam Fair Trade outlets.

    Fair Trade Chocolate

I've heard that one of the worst things to buy when it isn't Fair Trade is chocolate. The people who harvest the cocoa beans are very badly exploited. However it's one of the hardest things to buy in Fair Trade varieties - the Green & Blacks Organic chocolate is now owned by...

Our county fair always comes in October.  It really sucks.  I will trade it to anyone for their fair.  That would be a fair trade, wouldn't it?

As Soon As I Find Out How.

To be honest, it's a concept I've only recently learned of, from flutterbly here on Ep.  But I like the idea, and am keeping my eyes open for opportunities.  So far, the only fair trade products I've found are chocolates, jewelry, and music.  But I'll keep looking...

    In A Nutshell

Fair Trade is one of those things where once you learn about it, you wonder why it seems such a marginalised concept? For like clean water and basic freedoms you imagine that such practices involved in Fair Trade are naturally 'a given' and could easily be assumed. Unfortunately...

This was made in South Africa.

Children from a village draw the image of the doll. Included is a story about the child artist. I am absolutely in love with my cute creation named Hope. I have a vintage rocker chair with similar colors and can't wait to bring Hope into my funky electric home. It brings...

    It's Only Fair!

I don't go shopping very much but when I do if I see a fair trade logo I'm immediately drawn to it. I try and get my dad to buy fair trade goods all the time, and my mum. I think everything should be fair trade. It's only fair! (that last sentence was very CHEESY!!) I only...

Too Many Middle Men Make All The Money

Producers have families too. They need things like food, and fuel, and clothes and all. The middle men, the dealers provide nothing except profits for dividends. Fair Trade seeks to redress this, and I believe another way would be for producers to be offered discounted shares...
