    I Love Freecycle

I have received several items and been able to clean out two storage sheds using freecycle.  I really like that others can use what I no longer need and it doesn't end up in a landfill somewhere.

    Pink Couch

I was heading back up to my site from the office. I came up the slight hill and passed the 2 rubbish skips off to one side of the crest. Out the corner of my eye i spotted what looked like an alright roled arm sofa waiting for the next rubbish collection. I did a quick Uey on my...

    The Good Life

I'm a single mother of 2 teens and lost my job over a year ago. Because I've been a freecycler for a couple of years I knew that re-inventing our lives wouldn't be the painful sacrifice it could have been. Sure, we've made plenty of sacrifices and certainly have simplified our...

    Why I Am On Freecycle

Those of us in Texas are suffering from high electric bills due to the new Smart Meters. About two weeks ago a lady had to post that because of her more than double electric bill her account was down to pennies and that she needed food to feed her family. This is why I am on...

    Freecycle Melbourne

I haven't been a member of freecycle for very long, but I am a member of both the Melbourne-wide Freecycle, and the Freecycle in the council area I live in, which is great if you don't drive. I've passed on some shoes and other items (that other female Freecyclers are always...

    Freecycle never worked here..sadly

I've created a Freecycle group here, but believe it or not, nobody ever wanted to give away things. There's something with that place, it's just wrong. People rather throw away than give away. In Montreal, I've furnished my entire apartment with Freecycle, and trust me it looked...

    Yaaay!!!!!!

That's easy.   I had a couple of lava lamps to give away.  The guy;s car had broken down, and he didn't live far from me, so I decided to drop them off at his house.  He gave me his piano.

    Freecycle Rocks!

I first discovered Freecycle in Dallas, TX around 2007 - I was instantly amazed at the idea and starting using it all the time.  It was such a great way to get rid of stuff I didn't need anymore, but knew was too good to just end up in the landfill. There's been a couple...

Freecycle--an Idea Who's Time Is Long Overdue!

I discovered FreeCycle through an article on it in my local paper--I joined the same day! Since then, I've been blessed so abundantly, I can't begin to remember how many times! Not just by the receiving of stuff I needed, but by being able to take the stuff I DON'T need and...

New To Freecycle And Loving It!

I was soured by the process at first because I tried - literally - for years to sign up.  Each time I received a rejection email and couldn't figure out why.  Finally, when a good friend of mine told me she had started doing it and loved it, I became vigilant.  I...

    Freecycle Is Awesome!

We opened the first group in our state back in 2004.  After the first couple of months, ikt caught on like wildfire.  The main moderator got sick and I took over at the helm moderating the group while she was out.  This was great for me as I was recovering from a...

    Freecycle Is Genius!

Freecycle helped me moved a lot of items in a short span of time, saving me a lot of time and gas and plus it was great for my heart! I had a garage full of junk that my ex left behind and a house full of furniture that I wanted to get rid of before making the move across the...

    I Love Freecycle!

I have been a member of Freecycle for a few years now, and I love it. I have met a lot of nice people, both through giving away and picking up items.  Just an example of how useful Freecycle is - I received a very nice desk from a Freecycler a couple of years ago.  ...
