    Hmm Let's See

First I started as a kid I taught myself how to read.  Skip ahead a few years, and I taught myself how to ride a bike.  When I was ten I dismantled a VCR and put it back together in working order, and I'm not sure how I pulled that off.  At fourteen I taught...

    Grade One

I taught myself to skate when I was roughly six, maybe seven. I was in grade one and our grade eight buddies were supposed to help us but I was stubborn and my buddy wasn't a very good teacher, so she sort of watched me at a distance while I found my balance and got over my fear...

    Taught Myself...

...most of the things school was supposed to teach me, or, rather, is supposed to teach me. I always end up learning more, academically speaking, through my own research and discussions than sitting at the back of a classroom doodling in my notebook as the teacher's lips move...

I taught myself how to read. How to walk 2 miles to school by myself when I was 5 years old. How to fend off perverts when I was 5 years old. How to hide my tears. How not to make people angry. How to keep from being killed. How to be smarter than the other guy. How to survive...

When I was twelve my mother refused to pay

for music lessons. So I saved up enough to buy a keyboard. It was $400 and it was my prize. I couldn't afford lessons but I could buy books. So I learned to play piano on my own. My friends all played an instrument and I want to feel involved. I now am amazing but I do take...

    Many Different Things!

When my birth-father did the right thing and gave my sister and I a large lump-sum of money, from his settlement check (erm, his lawyer had to convince him to...), my sister and I placed our money in the bank and spent part of it. I had two thousand dollars in the bank and let it...

Learning The Hard Way To Care For Others

With such a strong-willed, strongly opinionated, but amazingly open mother, I would apperciate her as a person more. No...I apperciate one thing from her. She taught me the hard way to care for others...by not caring for me. She's got her favorite daughter (my older sister) And...

How many of us can say

that we really truly know ourselves. There is lots of things people think that they know but actually doesn't know and they screw things. Most times we are overanalysing about our own potential and we lay back in accomplishing things because we feel we can't do as we are not...

    Drawing

Most of what I know about drawing has been self-taught. I would watch lots of cartoons and draw my favorite characters. I'd walk around the house with a little stack of white printer paper, pencils, and an old chessboard to lean on.

Not As Easy As It Looks
