ok so I just posted this in Q&A

but I wanted to write it out. So I was just at the gas station getting groceries... I had to walk up since my mom is "sick" and I can't drive. So anyway I ended up with $19.71 worth of stuff but i only had 15... so I was gonna put some frozen vegetables back but this guy behind...

    Well It Is

I think it is very important but my boss calls me a bleeding heart liberal for it. Call me whatever you want but to me nice is important and others appreciate it. I take the time to introduce myself to people and ask how the pregnant bank teller is doing today. I might not...

One of the Life's More Pleasant Challenges

This is one of the keys to my own personal success, and of being able to live with myself.  Despite being trodden on more times than I can recall, being nice is a quality which, I believe, reaps its own benefits, both internal and external.  Though not guaranteed, more...

It is so simple. Just be nice.

Look at the person you're interacting with and understand that what you see, what they show you is just the tip of the iceberg. The crabby salesgirl? What if she's crabby because she was up all night with a sick baby? Or worried because she doesn't know how she's going to pay...

I am a really nice person by default.

A lot of people mistake it as flirtation.. Not at all everyone !!!! I'm jut really nice. Niceness is hard to come by these days, so I understand why people mistake it for flirtation.

I enjoy being nice to people,

life is to short to be angry and sad all the time! We all have our days but I try to focus on being positive. Yes everyone knows that one person who is ridiculously happy and it's annoying but being nice is a good thing and shouldn't be a rare quality in today's world.

Being Nice Is My True Calling

Being nice is a sign of strength to me.  It means not giving in to all the negativity surrounding me.  If I can make someone smile I feel wonderful inside!  A simple hello to a stranger lights them up from inside.  Asking, "How are you today", and standing there to listen to...

It's very sad when people make a conscious effort to be mean to someone.  Especially someone they don't even know.  No matter how "crazy"(I despise that word) you may feel someone is, if you don't truly know them you can't judge them. The person you just cursed out and called...

    To A Point.

Yeah I agree being nice is important. However the important part is knowing when to draw the line. You don't want people stepping all over your toes because they know you'll just smile and say don't worry about it. You have to stand up for yourself even if it means being rude to...

Kindness is probably the trait I value the most.

I think being nice to each other really is something important, it can bring immense joy to anyone. However, while I do value it I think it can be bad. I admire selflessness as well but sometimes I realize that kindness leads to naivety and in some cases self-destruction. It's...

Realise that you can't always count on others

to respect your feelings, even if you respect theirs.Being a good person doesn't guarantee that others will be good people too.You only have control over yourself, over how you choose to be as an individual. And as for others, you can only accept them or walk away.

I respect people who can be nice.

Sometimes it's extremely hard to be nice. I am learning to be nice to these people who aren't so nice to me. I have no choice but to like them for the next 2 years because it's impossible to leave them. I'm not being bullied but I'm not getting treated fairly.
