At college when there is a key bit of info we

need to know teachers will sometimes use the words 'regurgitate' as in simply repeat this in the exam. Just proves that it doesn't matter if you actually understand it and can engage with the subject, as long as you can memorise words from a textbook you'll do well.

Sometimes those with worse grades have higher I.

Q.'s. They are just bored with the subject matter. I've seen it before.

They would only if all other variables were

controlled. Between effort, childhood experience, motivation, available time, differences in teaching styles, and so many other uncontrolled variables, grades and marks are a very limited way of measuring intelligence. They measure performance in whatever way the teachers...

grades don't matter. they only push people to

cram information for the few months they need the grade to move on. if you take away grades and focus more on actually learning and applying it to actual life then people learn more.

    I usually have good grades,

but it means nothing, I simply throw up a bunch of memorized lines in a sheet of paper, and get praised by some adults. I cannot apply what I learn to real life, I cannot even remember those things I found interesting, I cannot get a medicine degree like this, and that is my...

There are a couple of girls in my school,

they have book smarts, they think that I am stupid and I am not good enough to advance to anything because I would get low grades sometimes, and they would get sky rocket high grades. But the truth is I am actually more intelligent than those girls because they don't know how to...

I got a lot of bad grades in school.

That was only because I didn't turn in a lot of stuff or do some of the work. I still graduated high school because despite those grades I know just how smart I am.

Grades are stupid. For one thing someone can be

very smart but just not be interested in the subject, or they might have recieved poor schooling. Plenty of things can happen to change your grade that have nothing to do with intelligence, and many students stress out over grades when they are probably inaccurate.

    I agree. I'm quite intelligent

but get rubbish grades. Loads of things can contribute to grades though. I just want better grades but other things are more important like mental health

Grades are a measure of your education.

I.Q. is a rough indication of intelligence. The two things are entirely different. High intelligence usually just means that you can solve cryptic crosswords faster than someone with lower intelligence. Most employers are interested not in intelligence, but in the ability to...
