Since my entire family (which I have disowned) are either alcoholics, drug addicts, thieves, manipulators, cheaters, con-artists, or ******, I think I turned out pretty ok. I'm none of the above.

    Turned Out Great

It took time and hard work but in the end I turned out good. I often wondered as a kid growingup in the housing development where we dwelled. The area was a mixture if nice and not so nice. Greedy and well theose who were not so greedy. All races and many kids. It seemed like...

    I Had No Positive Influence

The influences I had in my life were all alcohol related. My parents were heavy drinkers and they drug us kids to the bars with them when we were growing up. There was no grandparents influence, no aunts or uncles to take us places and teach us the important things our parents...

    Making It

Making it is what you might think may of course be great. In some way yes you are right. In other ways you might be wrong then again what is right and what is wrong? I turned out to be someone special in many eyes and minds. In a few no one really would give a sweet care but...

    Or So My Therapist Says!

With my tragic past, I realized I could have so easily went the "other" way. That's a bit scary to think about... I could be a mean, hateful, bitter, manipulative *****. I could have turned into a monster, hurting others, just because I was hurting. But, I didn't...

    Survivor Guilt

I didn't have the most secure childhood. Mum was mentally ill. Manic depression they called it then. Dad did his best but his main priority was keeping the family financially secure, so everyone and his dog had a hand in taking care of me and my brother. I was mostly looked after...

    All Things Considered

I had a mother who once hid behind a tree to pelt me with water balloons.  Sex advice I got from my family was "Your **** ain't a broom to go sweeping out dirty old holes with" and "If it's dripping, it ain't got a cold!"   It's amazing I can have sex at all after...
