    Ignorance Is Bliss, My Darlings

Studies show intelligent people are more depressed because they know how the world really is. Maybe, when it comes to life, a little bit of ignorance really is bliss. Better to not see life's true colors if you could help it. My advice to younger people? Hold on to your...

    People can't relate to you.

There's only so far you can simplify something for another. Finally you give up and retreat inside your head.

    I feel that thinking

or feeling one is intelligent rather than the actual intelligence itself is what exacerbates the depression and isolation because they'll just ignore people they feel are, well, stupider than them. I'm even guilty of it sometimes. And when depressed, you already think everyone...

    But I Also Thinks....

I think Intelligence Can Cause Depression and Isolation, but i also think the person in such situation should believe in him/herself and in god that they are going on right track. And pl. try not to over think as it is not good for your mental health. Take healthy fresh and green...

So, this is something I always new.

.. but not that long ago it ACTUALLY sank in. We all die. Everything that must live, must also die (even those weird creatures that don't age, they will eventually get eaten and die). We all live to die. So then what is the point of even living anymore? To mate and create...

The first time i was hospitalized

for depression was when i was 18 yo. I was "formed" or put in against my will. You are "formed" when you are either a danger to yourself or a danger to others and do not go into psychiatric care willingly. I was suicidal. My first few weeks of my 3 month stay was spent with...

Sadly this is true. Highly intelligent people

tend to be loners. Not all of them are like that but I think majority is.. I think it's because they can't seem to find people to talk with or discuss important topics others don't even know about.

What was the quote? Intelligence is just a step away from insanity? Something like that. I completely agree. I'm sure there's a better way to explain this. But it's like me when I over-think things. When you have the ability to see things with so much detail, you can drive...

    Statistically, people of higher intelligence

tend to be depressed because they have come to the conclusion that there is no divine meaning to life; among other reasons, of course. As for isolation, aside from my social anxiety, I avoid people because I find them too stupid to interact with.
