I Think Kidding Is Not a License to Say Whatever You Wish

Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 240 People

    Well First Of All

i HATE hint throwing. If something needs to be said or shared ...then let it be known. And to say something and use kidding as an excuse. PUH-LEEZE, that's a child's mentality. Just because you put "kidding" behind it doesn't mean it's acceptable. Some pple are just plain...

    Hell No

yeah, it's one thing to be kidding around if that's just how you are and somebody knows it, but if someone gets on the defense and you don't tell them right away that you're just joking around then don't get all ****** off that they get pissed at you about it...  ...

"Just Kidding" Is Justification For Insensitivity...

and cruelty! I am sick to death of people thinking that those 2 words make it okay to be hurtful, mean, cruel, thoughtless... And then we're in the wrong for being too sensitive and a big baby because we can't take a little kidding.

As much as I believe in freedom of speech, people should still try and make good decisions on what they decide to say to others. It could hurt others even if you're 'kidding', plus our words can have consequences so even if you can say it doesn't mean it was right. Sure, joking...

    Just Kidding Not!!!

If you are kidding and not speaking your mind when you have something to say then I basically think that you are a jackass pulled me or the person in question to the side and let them know what you feel yes there is a 50 50 chance that they might get pissed but that's life stop...

I Do Use It Every Now and Then..

But I'd never say something that could be true and than just say kidding.. I mostly use kidding after telling something that's been a lie about myself..

    Bless Her Heart!

She never will learn, Bless her heart! Bless her/his heart is just one more way to say mean things about someone while trying to come off as a concerned and caring person.

    This Should Be Outlawed!

Ugh. Cannot-- I cannot stand people who say cruel things under the guise of humor. Yeah right, sucker. YOU'RE NOT EVEN FUNNY. That may be the biggest offense to me. Beyotch-- you're not clever, or witty. You're just a dumb-as* mean piece of dog-doo. And you can drop dead for...

I try to remind myself this, when joking. But sometimes I do cross the line and I am truly sorry! I will say over and over that I'm sorry and try my best to make it up with the person I offended. Just because something wouldn't bother me, doesn't mean it wouldn't bother someone...

    It Hurts

I had a boyfriend that said hurtful things to me and made me feel totally stupid but he would say that he was just kidding. I told him repetedly that it hurt and he would say, "so you don't want me to have any fun or be happy?" I broke up with him though.

I notice a lot of people use the phrase "just kidding" so they can have their cake and eat it too.  I hear it used to mock someone or to say something rude, but as long as they say "just kidding", then they can get away with it.  Or so they...

    I Know It's Not

Kidding is for poking fun at ourselves and friends in a good hearted way. It's never meant to be hurtful. Unfortunately, it happens that way. If you want to say what you think and/or speak the truth do it. Be straight forward about it. Don't ridicule or degrade anyone with...
