I'm Not Talking About Extreme Situations Though

But a lot of things I thought were bad actually made me better. And when I look back I'm grateful for some of those lessons.

    It's All In Your Perspective

I remember about 8 years ago when I was diagnosed with the hepatitis C virus. Needless to say, this seemed like a really bad situation to me. After all, it means that although I may not die quickly, I still could eventually see an unhappy ending in my life. Next I found out that...

    My Breakup

Last year my boyfriend of three years (and best friend of five years) cheated on me with another woman and stayed with her, leaving me as a lover and pretty much as a friend as well. It left me heartbroken then.It was for this that I stopped postponing starting my psychotherapy...

    Unexpected Episodes Of Exponential Potential

I learned a major lesson this week: Sometimes, a tragedy is an opportunity in disguise. So, the last week has been pretty much one of the worst ever. (This could be considered the sequel to my other story, "Give 'em Enough Rope...).  For those who don't know the back story, I'll...

    My Worst Nightmare.

I remember watching the movie "Awake"and being scared of that happening to me (anesthesia Awareness). I hoped it never would happen, and it did. I woke up during surgery only 8 weeks after watching the movie. It scared me, scarred me, and gave me PTSD. Then, a few years after...

    Disabled for unknown reasons

but it has changed my life not only physical but mentally. I think I become this way for many reasons. Some are clear. Others are not. But I do believe everything happens for a reason. This is the path that I'm suppose to be on. God only knows.

    I Would Not Have Survived

It sounds weird to say this, but I am glad my dad was so tough on me. I am positive I would not have survived my life if he had raised me to be a little wuss. Granted, he didn't have to break bones to get his point across!

    The Reason Why....

I believe bad things happen for a reason. One day all the puzzle pieces will come together and you will understand why.

    Most Bad Things

Bad things are- let's face it- BAD. No one enjoys them, everyone dreads them, and we all sometimes just wish bad things didn't exist. But I think what we forget or don't realize at all is the positivity that often stems from bad things. When we go through something bad, it...

    From Pain To Hope

I have always been considered a very strong person; the person everyone else looks to for strength when life throws her curve balls.  I have to admit that my most recent, major life event really threw me for a loop!  Do you remember the “Simpsons&rdquo...
