I Think That Even Small Gestures Are Significant

Never underestimate the power of taking someone

a cup of tea. Washing up for them. Doing their ironing. Sitting with their young ones so they can have a cuppa in peace. Chatting to an elderly neighbour for a few minutes. Calling an old friend you haven't seen in years. Walking your neighbours dog That kinda stuff.

When It's Gone It's Gone So Don't Miss It.

Sometimes the small gestures are the most important but they are easily missed. People put who they are into the small things, the things they do, say write or in their look. If we don't see them then we miss the persons heart. You never know what you have till its too late. It...

    Upward Mobility

Well, every month it’s something it seems, awareness-wise anyway. I guess after a while it is easy to ignore Autism and Breast Cancer and even Black History. I try to donate when I can and to be “aware” as it were, but often I find myself thinking, oh, what is it now...

My ex won me over with the smallest gesture.

I liked him anyway but never thought of ever going out with him. I was really sad one day over something and he sat next to me he just held my hand. He never tried to take advantage of me and we talked for hours and he made me smile and I fell for him. We went out with each...

As I'm walking back home some random guy drives

slowly next to me and sings "Yellow" by Coldplay...I didn't know whether to sing along with him because I really like that song or avoid him and just keep walking faster because it's dark outside and I didn't want to get myself abducted :x Anyways, that made my night xD

When your fingers laced with mine,

I could barely breathe. I had not been this nervous since my first kiss. I wasn't sure what was even being said by anyone at that point. I had not been drinking and I avoided the special treats on the table. You and I were alone in a room filled with many. You pushed my hair...

    That Little Something

I find it is the small things which people do, the hug when you are down, the compliments when you do not feel good about yourself. The smile when noone else has all day. These are lovely so lets all keep doing so.

I was at my lowest in 2007,

a woman stroked my cheek with the back of her hand, I just fell apart. That little act of kindness just broke me. It was like the final straw. It was a long road but I'm better now, thanks to it. I often wonder if she is okay, never got her name, God knows what she thought!

    More So

than the big grand gestures .... Small gestures are MORE revealing, more significant and carry 'more weight' as far as I'm concerned :)

    Without A Doubt

It really is the small gestures, and acknowledgements that mean the most. A smile, a wave, even a glance can make a huge difference. I wonder how many people truly understand this. Or do they just view it as pettiness? I've questioned this lately, and well...I honestly think that...

You Never Know How You Can Effect Someone

I remember in Middle School. I was going to a bad time in my life. The most important person in my life past away. I was taking it real hard. I stop dressing up, dancing, hardly spoke, and anti social. I was turning soon to be 13 and those are your awkward years cause of all the...

I'm a simple person and it doesn't take much to

make me happy. Last winter I was always complaining about my coffee getting cold to quickly. My husband took note and of all the gifts he gave me for Christmas my Yeti cup is my most favorite! My coffee is still hot 4 hours later! It's not cute rather boring looking but I'm...

    It's Especially The Small Ones....

They're significant to me because they're the ones that go the most unnoticed but to me they are the most noticeable. If you can do something that makes me happy in such a subtle & discreet way, your an awesome person to me.

I am realizing that I'm not the only one

that feels this way. I have a friend in my ASL class who loves to do oragami. He gave me a bunch of paper ninja stars over the course of a week. We even sat one day and he taught me to make them. We were talking the other day and he was playing with one he had just made, so I...

Perfect Water By Blue Oyster Cult

Perfect water - the dark wind braids the waves. The crazed birds raid the trees. is this our destiny? To join our hands at sea - and slowly sink, and slowly think: This is perfect water, passing over me. Do you know jacques cousteau when they said on the radio That he hears...

    Thank You, Gentleman

Today I was out on my lunch break, and I went to throw some trash in the bin on the street, and as I threw it the wind blew and my rubbish missed the bin even though I was right next to it.  A younger gentleman that looked haggard and toted a backpack walked past and...

    I Can See It.

I am very keen on peoples behaviour, I read every small insignificant gesture, in milliseconds, telling me the lie behind the fake smile, I feel body language intuitively and react on it without will. I think sometimes its better beiing blind to peoples behaviour

    Social Lubrication

Sometimes it's not the grand, sweeping gestures which matter. A small, insignificant gesture can be the most surprising and the most valuable even if it's not obvious at the time.
