Why should you wait for a day to show a person

you care for her or him? Let's buy and stock up on all the chocolate before it gets hell expensive, then just eat the damn thing while watching an movie or something :P

I have never believed in valentine's day because all it is, is a Hallmark holiday. And even if I had a boyfriend during valentine's day I would still have to same beliefs. Not the point! So V-Day is only 13 days away and the college I go to have had a lot more relationships...

    It's Lame!

Valentines day is for women, and generally, stupid women who are too wrapped up in themselves to realise the blessings they have. Did you ever hear a man moaning "I never got any flowers on valentines day.....she's just 'so' unromantic.......our relationship is meaningless...

    I've Never Sent Anyone a Valentine's Card

I've never sent anyone a Valentine's card or a gift... Isn't a Valentine's Card or gift supposed to be from someone anonymous also? or am i completely wrong? lol I would like to add though i have given flowers and gifts many many times at just totally random times...

Hi Ari! I deleted my comment string...

then edited the 'story' so as to ensure your comment still has value. So, dear readers: I had gone on all off in a vaguely coherent rant that was barely even about V's Day and which was mildly flavored toward more bitter-hot than salty-sweet and Ari, who too often does not give...

    Who Invents This Silly Holiday?

I am not asking any "religious" history about Valentine's Day; i know that it supposes to be the day of Saint Valentine (who cares about another dead man in the history? Today, we are talking about the sex, relationships, and a huge business). That idiot who invented this feast...

    Commercial Joke

i hate it. All theswe stupid teddy bears and gory mugs and fake roses. Its there to make people rich, the boyfriends/husbands to be under pressure, the wives/girlfriends to be filled with too much expectation and the single people to feel lonely. I dont think its had to show...

    So Commercialised!

I never had a Valentines Day. Every year on this day I'm either single or had some king of argument with my boyfriend (if I had one) but somehow I'm not bothered at all. The only thing I don't like is all this artificial pressure it puts on people - that if you are alone then...

    Another Hallmark Holiday

Okay, so Hallmark didn't exactly create Valentine's Day but boy, oh boy do they (and other card makers) benefit from it.  The 14th of February has turned into another over-commercialized event that retailers, restaurants and others profit heavily from by overbooking and...

    It should be banned,

if you need an excuse to show your love and affection to someone, you should not be in the relationship any way. Maybe if more people showed affection and love, not just to their mate but to everyone around then (not in a sexual way) the world might be a better place. I am...

My dream valentines day would be the two of us

curled up together on the sofa with a few movies streamed from Netflix as we enjoy each other's quiet company and the feel of skin on skin where our hands are joined as one. Nice thought, eh??? So sad that reality gets in the way these days.

every year people tend to make a big fuss about valentine`s day. i dont see the point of this day. its just another way for people to make money. people get disapointed because they have even higher expectations of each other on this day and then they dont get what they want.

    Highly Overrated

I don't get the point of it. I think it's just another ploy to make money. I have always made it clear that anyone I'm with that I do not want anything on Valentines Day. I don't get the point. I mean, do you REALLY need another day to show you care? Pointless.

Yeah I never liked this holiday.

It's just a money making ploy to put people on the spot and make them buy and do things they may not want to do. Nobody should make people feel compelled to express feelings for someone they might feel. It's just a bad deal.

Me and my partner always choose another day in

a different month to spend all day together both book off work go somewhere instead of Valentine's day where everything costs triple the price. plus we try and have a date night once a month. but showing you love someone should be done everyday in your own each individual way.

Don't get me wrong, I love getting flowers,

    1) Hallmark capitalizes the day out of it

and that alone ruins it. 2) I WILL NOT date a girl who demands we go out on a date every February 14, nor will I buy you an absurd amount of roses/chocolates. If you want me to be in love with you and show I care about you, pick a date that is more symbolic and meaningful of...
