    I Have Felt Both

    I know because I have been on both ends, receiving and dishing them out and I know the pain I have caused in moments of anger. Now i simply strive to not have to apologize any more than I really should have to by trying to act accordingly!

    Yes

    Words can have a significant effect on people, I know. I was put down verbally at home and school growing up and nearly commited suicide just so it would stop.

    Painful

    Nothing can hurt me more than a few select words. Growing up I was subjected to violence on a daily basis - the bruises healed, the pain subsided from cuts and grazes, hair grew back from where it was pulled out...... but the words rattled constant in my mind reminding me of...
