    I always thought that people who said they had depression were flawed. That they were using it as a cop-out so they had an excuse for their actions/behavior. Like so many things in life, one shouldn't judge until you have walked in that person's shoes. I think the real issue...

    I Didn't Think It Existed...

    When my mom would say she can't do anything because the depression was taking over her, I didn't believe her, I always thought it was just another ******* excuse to make me do her ****, but later on in life, as it got worse for her, I saw just how much it could effect someone...

    I Lacked Empathy

    Growing up I lacked empathy for my mother. She has depression and I would just ignore it.Don't get me wrong, since a very young age I battled severe periods of pain and grief, but this year that my depression really hit me hard, I've come to realize that this shitt isn't a joke...
