    Sure Does

Clients come in all sizes and in all cites and states across the country. I can be anywhere for a week or months at a time. It is enjoyable that way. I think I'll stay in this career field and learn and enjoy the wonders of other places.

    Travel - Good Or Bad???????

Well I have read the other travel stories, and I wish that I could travel that little. This is my second 3 week trip this year, and it looks like I might have a third next month.  Last year was better before everybody started canceling contracts and the customer that I was...

Right now, I'm waiting to check in at the kiosk

at PIT international for a fight down to Orlando MCO. I'm stuck out for two weeks, and feel like a sucker... Looks like I won't be receiving per diem, a hotel room or rental car this time around. My destination is crystal river, Florida. I hear there is nothing to do there...

Well, I'm snowed in at a business meeting at a

hotel. It's sort of nice to see so many other guests just hanging out in the lobby, especially a couple of the manly men types that I really enjoy looking at! I don't mix business and pleasure, so no prospects there. My husband is snowed in at home with our kids about 30...

Mr. Harmonium started this a few weeks ago

and I thought it would be fun to continue. If you travel for work, just post here generally where you've been the past couple weeks and where you're headed in the next couple weeks. This is not for the purpose of a hook up, just for fun! I'll get it started in the comments.

    Slowed a Little

My last job meant I had to travel interstate every 2 weeks... which was a drag in the end. People would say things like "wow... it must be so great visiting all of those new places...". I had to explain that in the end sometimes all you saw was the airport and the...

    Traveling And Lonliness

I used to travel for work....a lot.  In 2006 I spent over 160 nights in hotel rooms.  Somehow, my gf/fiance (now my wife) stayed with me, even though our relationship was based around a couple of days a week. For the past two years, my travel has been greatly limited...

    Up In The Air!

I did travel for work and hope to do it again soon. I love travel. Rushing through airports. Drinking Starbucks in different cities. The security line? Not so much. Frequent flier miles, yeah baby. I got ya covered. George Clooney was right. Miles are the new status symbol...

    And normally REALLY enjoy it.

..until I wait 7 hours in an airport to catch a flight which should only take 1 hour to get home, then told "Passengers traveling on the 123 to XYZ has been canceled"...WTF! Now I'm in a rental (upgraded - thanks bossman) driving 5 hours to just sleep in my bed for 2 hours...

Literally the worst business trip ever.

Chain smoker drunk guy at the end of my row; sweaty 20 year old boy next to me; flight that was delayed, diverted to another city, delayed again, and then finally arrived at my final destination 8 hours late. I only had 4 hours sleep before presenting to a major client. My...

Spent the day walking the expo show floor in

heels. Ouch! Business travel is tough on a woman! Tonight I'm headed out with a couple other women in my industry for dinner (us gals have to stick together) and then with another group to a local bar afterwards. My best friend just so happens to be at this same meeting, so...
