I can't seem to get out of this fantasy world,

I seem to be living my life through. I think it's called Escapism, and I'm in the extreme stage. I feel like I abandoned my actually reality for a fantasy. I need help. Any advice? πŸ˜…πŸ˜πŸ˜΄

Its All So Much Better In Your Head Right?

I sleep (and dream) alot, and when I'm awake I surround myself with stories and feelings: music, videogames, books, so on, that let me kind of float off and forget everything around me. For some reason, being disconnected with yourself is the best feeling, because for some reason...

    Always And It's Worrisome

I suppose it started when when I was a kid. My family didn't have much money and our homes were always so tiny. The only real place I could escape to was my imagination. I loved reading books then. Books and the world they painted were wonderful, especially for a little kid...

    I always want to sleep.

it's one place I can be without being misplaced. I escape this world only during sleep. My friend told me that I have to choose which world I want to stay in. I choose my fantasy world over the real world. I'd choose that any day. I also do it by listening to some music.

    Daydreaming

I don't know what it is about life, or what it lacks for me. But I often find myself trying to escape it. Sleeping happens to be the best way to do this. I just lay down and let my mind wander wherever it pleases. It always starts off as thinking about actually facts. For example...

My beautiful world, so full of adventure,

yet you make me feel so delusional, but still, what a lovely lie to believe in. Reality is all good, but fantasy is much less predictable and entertaining. I just love to close my eyes and imagine a world where everything is possible.

    I am an excitable person

    Escapism. It's a thing.

I live in a fantasy world, where things go well, where I can be happy, where everything happens the way I want it to. I mean, real life sucks, y'know?

I used to dissociate to escape my reality

when I was living with my abuser. It was always easier to create my own world rather than facing the one I lived in. For years it was the only way I could fall asleep. Now, I tend to read to escape reality. Either that, or I talk to people online to distract me from what's going...

I've spent most my life high I'm pretty sure.

did meth for a bit. Weed has always been a must. It's been a hard life so far, to be short. And I have a hard time being sober to face it all. Though it's mostly ptsd issues, I haven't learned to deal with them very well without making myself numb first. :/

I'm always trying to escape reality.

I'll curl up under my sheets with a good book. I'll immerse myself in my own world I've written. I'll become an assassin and fight Templars. I'll lose myself in music. Anything . . . anything that isn't, I don't know, boring like my day-to-day life.

    Watching a movie helps me,

    It'S Not A Fulltime Thing

EP is great in that it allows for an escape. Fantasy and game playing allow for an easy decompression. But, just like harlequin ice cream, I prefer a mix. I don't want to blend reality and fantasy, but I want to maintain both.

    You should never escape reality

even if it's at its ugliest state. Trying to sugar coat things and paint the blackest black with bright colors only disguises the worst things as if they were good but they are still giving off a negative influence. Accept everything for what they are and address them properly.

There's a story happening right inside my head, where I lead a very different life. There are times when I wish I lived the life inside my imagination instead. When I'm not inside my own head or living my life, I write my stories down. I might publish one when I'm done. Why? It...
