Emotions are important, but nearly as important as the truth. If a friend says something to you and you get angry, there are two reasons for this. It was a hurtful comment, or you misunderstood. Obviously the emotion is there, but will the logic kick in in time for you to...

    Logic Or Love?

i miss the way you feel against me, your hot body around my cool one. the way you would run your hand up and down my arm as i curl up to you. lay my head on your chest. for the longest time thats all that mattered. the way words formed on your sweet lips and the sound your...

Until the age of 18 I balanced emotion

and logic, until the day the emotions were just too exhausting and painful so I shut down my emotions. Drugs helped. I feel empathy but not much else. Otherwise I feel cold and isolated. I will not go mad, not if I can reclaim that pain, and the joy that goes with feeling

    I'm looking inside nowadays.

. Into the well.. And it's empty. It returns but sometimes I'm afraid it will never come back. I open my eyes.. This is reality

    Neediness Is Overwhelming

I have a boyfriend who is always feeling physical pain and emotional  and financial struggle, and he tells me about it during every conversation that we have.  He makes me feel guilty for not wanting to be a nurturer to him all the time.  I'm beginning to not want...

    It's Not About Emotion...

It's about psychology. Our psychological dispositions are each composed of an array of complex experiential data derived from various constituents of sentience, including sensation deprivation (desire), fear, mental sensation (emotions), physical sensation, visual sensation...

    Mean Feat

It's been a hard enough process to start acknowledging I even have emotions, let alone to now put them into balance..  I went from ignoring they existed to getting completely overwhelmed by them --- but that's the thing about buried emotions, is that they're always buried...

I got a cold today from my roommate,

and this women I just became friends with told me that she doesn't get sick because she doesn't believe in getting sick. I am very into energy and the Laws of Attraction, but there is a logical side to things. And this person apparently believes that there should be pain long...

    Logic & Emotion...

I don't necessarily try to balance logic & emotion, but I do feel there is a constant conflict between the two. I wouldn't want to live in a world without emotion at all, but I think emotions overshadow people's judgments a lot of times. People will focus on their emotions...

Some say that decisions should be made based on

pure logic and that’s the only way to live in the world we do. Others will tell you follow your heart your gut the little inner voice that says what to do. I personally and no one has to agree with this but I personally believe we as humans can not be empathetic and logical...

Someday some one will surely impress me.

And I won't feel disappointed when they stomp on my feelings. Right?

    Logical Emotion Stems From Principle

I try to balance logic and emotion, I was surprised to see a group for this. I can usually trace my emotion down to a principle or a natural facet of human psychology, and meter my emotions appropriately. I find, that there are points of internal conflict while preforming the...

    I Can't Seem to Find a Balance

I'm experiencing a kind of melancholy and I think it has to do with the internal struggle between logic and emotion.  I have always been a mostly logical person and made most decisions based on reason.  But I have also always had an inner prompt telling me to "...

    Musings and Meditations

I have been thinking about this for some time. I feel I am actually beginning to make some progress. Psychology has long recognized that you get more of what you reinforce. The more you try to have balance in your thinking the better you will get at it. What to I want to...

    Tilting The Scales

Balancing logic and emotion - head and heart - it's been the struggle of my life.  Maybe it's everyone's struggle, I don't know.   But it's not exactly finding the balance for me, it's more of a tug of war.  I try desperately to let logic lead me but my emotions, my heart...
