    I'm trying to understand.

I've been told that I am humble, but at times I can act with arrogance. I'm trying to learn to have humility and learn what distinguishes it from self-protection. I'm studying empathy, I'm trying not to be judgemental--I value all these assets and believe it will help me become...

I can stand, in the peace

and solitude of this early Spring morning, and just admire the majesty of the starry firmament above my head. It's a simple, glorious privilege denied to many and I shall always be grateful and mindful of my own good fortune.

will be made the lowest. Those who humble themselves, who make themselves low, will be exalted above all others. The first shall be last and the last shall be first. Those who are overlooked will be made rulers. Those who are trodden under the feet of the haughty will rejoice...
