I Want Recognition of the Armenian Genocide

Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 98 People

I'm astounded that the Turkish government

refuses to acknowledge the Armenian genocide (along with the Assyrian and Greek genocides) purely out of pride. Not only refusing to acknowledge it but quibbling over the phrasing (widespread killings apparently took place but we're not to use the "g" word) does not help Turkey...

Pope Francis referred to the mass killings of

Armenians by Ottoman Turks as "genocide". I am hopeful this leads to the recognition of the Armenian Genocide by more countries. So far only twenty countries in the world have. USA, UK or Israel are not among them. A crying shame.
