    For a Long Time Now...

I've pretty much always wanted to be a mortician. I wouldn't say I think it would be fun exactly, but it would be a fulfilling job.

I Want To Be A Mortician!

I took a forensics class in high school and loved it. But I didn't want to be the one to figure out what happened. I wanted to be the one that fixed up the deceased so that they looked good for their funeral. I'm pretty good with makeup, and I figured that I would do the deceased...

People usually think I'm joking, or being morbid when I say that I want to be a mortician. But for me, it isn't about being morbid, and it's not a joke. I've been looking into Worsham in Wheeling lately, and I think I would like to go there. :)

Anyone on here interested in the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science? That's where I plan on going and was wondering if anyone had any insight to this school.

    My Dream Job

Like most of you here, I am intrigued by dead bodies and want to help them recover some dignity in their death. I would work exclusively on female bodies as I think it is more of a challenge to make them look pretty again. Whenever I read about women who died in the news,I...

    Everything Is Changing Now...

A few months ago i was pretty aimless...all of my friends were making plans college and seemed just so sure of what they wanted to do with their lives. I found it really depressing that i was not one of them: didnt know what i wanted to do-didnt care. i guess i was really headed...

    Run To The Light!

They say you are only guaranteed two things in life, 1- you are going to pay taxes and 2- you are going to die.             Remember when you were a little kid, like 7 or 8 years old and you would tell your parents what you...

    Long Time Coming...

I have wanted to be a mortician ever since I was 14 years old. Of course, I got all kinds of dirty looks and tons of people trying to talk me out of it. For a while, I listened. I went into nursing, but still had the desire tugging at the back of my mind. I finally made up my...

No. I've never wanted to be one. I have an over active imagination at times and I don't think the two would mix very well.

    Mortician To Be...

Hi I am 24 and want to go to school for mortuary science. I have no doubt that I can handle the classes or the sight of dead people. But the smell does make me doubt myself. Also I'm not exactly the typical conservative looking person who most people feel should be a mortician. I...

I Really Do Want to Work In Funeral Services.

I have pretty much wanted to be a mortician since I was in my mid-teens. I had lost several people I loved and knew and wanted to help other families going through the same feel more at peace with their loved ones death. I feel that a funeral is the first step to healing for a...

    It's My Dream Job!

Ever since I was little I've always had a fascination with the human body and dying. Not in a "future murderer" way, just curiosity. I love biology and I considered becoming a forensic pathologist for a while, but it's very popular right and there aren't many job openings as a...

I would like to be a mortician (though I think I'd prefer the euphemism "funeral director"), however I'm fairly certain I'm far too lazy to take all of the science/medical requirements. I'll probably end up getting some wildly different degree, but if I'm really...
