I'm 24 And I Want To Change My Career But I'm Stuck!

I have a 6 week old son and a wife of 1 year. I am really not sure what career I should go down. I have been a manager at a supermarket and am currently an industrial engineer. I thought becoming an engineer sounded great but you have to have the right skill set for this job and...

Dream Jobs. Well for one I would like to write

my own book. Maybe acting, and modeling. I do some of that on my own, within my own space. But nothing serious. Writing, directing TV shows or movies of some sort. Nothing serious. Mean I'm not really into it just a side thing I do. I write stories but you never know, I could...

I have a good career ahead of me,

I work at a Big 4 accounting firm, but I don't particularly care for what I do. I wouldn't mind that so much if it wasn't so damn stressful. So basically, I'm over stressed and worked for sometime I'm not passionate about. I want to switch careers, but I don't know what I...

    Long Time Coming

I've worked for my company for 8 years... that's a long time... I make good money, I have a lot of freedom to do as I please and make decisions without approval... I love my boss and she loves me... I don't answer to anyone other than her... BUT its not my passion... being cooped...

I apply for jobs then tell them I am not

interested when I get a call for an interview. This is too damn stupid, I want to change my career, but scared or lazy to make the change. I see jobs which I fit their requirements, so in my head I am like, if I apply for this job, I am likely to get a call, so should i apply...

When I was to young to go to school,

I wanted to be an artist, but unfortunately for me, I do not have any artistic talent. When I was in elementary school I wanted to be a massage therapist, but as I got older I realised that I didn't particularly like doing that and it was just my family saying I should be one...

    I am nurse by profession

but i am not happy about it. Even before i am still studying, I already had the gut feeling that i did not belong in the said profession. Today, I regret not changing my career while i am still in my first year. Realization is always late. My life totally sucks right now.

I've been a nurse for 5 years now,

in 2 fields. And I've decided (after all that schooling plus time working) that it's not a fit for me. It looked better on paper than the reality ended up being. Don't get me wrong, it's a wonderful field, I just find that it takes too much out of me and the unpredictability of...

I am a very paranoid person already

and I am quite sure that my job has made me much more paranoid. I noticed that whenever I buy stuff, I have to scan the invoice for duplicate items, then I match the total of the invoice to the debit card receipt, and then I check whether the amount that was withdrawn from my...

I have been working in hospitals

for a while now, but I don't know if I can keep going. It is a horrible job. Always getting yelled at by paitents or co workers. Getting a lot of flack. Being expected to do jobs that you aren't qualified for because if you don't then that person could be harmed. Or being...

Being an accountant or in the accounting

profession doesn't require much of intelligence to be honest. I don't mean to underestimate accountants, it takes a lot of skills to be a good one but it is also about knowing the rules and just following them. Again, I don't mean to say that there is nothing but rules to follow...
