I Used To Live In An Imaginary World. Now I Don't.

I used to grow up in an imaginary world, made up of bits of stuff taken from films, bits of my drawings here and there, Lego blocks, toys and some of my imagination. In this world, I grew up being taken care of by Mickey Mouse and his friends, on a little town built in a desert...

    Where there are no people,

To let down or be let down, To disappoint or be disappointed by. No ulterior motives. No judgement of your inferiority. No norms to never manage to adhere to. No people to avert their eyes as you stumble and fall. Just beautiful Nature. Let me go through that shiny reflection...

    Stereotypical World

I want to live in my stereotypical fantasy world. The lands where cartoons are normally set. In a land with rolling hills, and object shaped clouds. Butterflies, and rainbows. Waterfalls and lots of flowers. Deer, and other woodland creatures. Faeries, elves. No war, no hate...

When I die, I'm hoping I will enter my imaginary world. At times It seems like hell on earth here so I keep my fingers crossed that one day when my time comes I will be free to be where I want to be, where everything is just how I want it to be. Sometimes I even find...

    Everyone one is happy.

No one is any sort of pain, physical or mental. It was perfect then, suddenly, my alarm clock starts beeping. Oh no,it was just a dream. But now I'm in reality. Cold, unforgiving reality.

Oh, boy. I suppose in my imaginary world anything is possible, so here goes. My son's autism maybe doesn't disappear, but such strides are made that he can communicate with me like any other 7 year old. Dare I dream it--he learns to use the toilet! That in and of itself...

    It's Much Better There.

I tend to write stories, mostly in my head, and cast myself (or myself as I wish I could be) as the protagonist. I have a rather dull life, so I tend to have rather... action-y "worlds" that I create. Since I really can't in the real world, I always play the hero, going about...
