    Lasagna Gardening. A No-dig Option

With lasagna gardening it is done by sheet composting whereby the scraps and weeds and old boots if you like are all dumped in one spot... well, layered on top of each other. It's all recycled in one spot. It really looks like a pig's breakfast, but boy oh boy does it...

When I Get My Own Place

I really never had any love for gardening.  My mother was always gardening, flowers mostly.  I worked for the park and was a gardener's helper and that didn't really turn me on, although I liked being outside.  But lately I have been having simple dreams. ...

I started my first compost bin today It was

fun, relaxing. As I did it I tuned in to the world around me. The sky, leaves in trees, the smell of cool black earth, clouds drifting by like slow moving waves, the muscles moving in my body: contracting - expanding. Mindfulness is cool and brings me back to earth. Couple it...

    I Am Following My Dream!

I've been wanting to experience growing my own vegetables for a long time.  Last year, circumstances came together to allow me the opportunity to finally fulfill this dream. After a lot of physical labor, a friend and I built 6 raised bed gardens and sowed heirloom seeds...

When I finally have a place of my own i'd love

to have a little allotment of my own to grow stuff. I have a herb garden and grow tomatoes and strawberries but don't really have the space for much else. My partner's father has a vegetable patch behind his house and I'm very envious sometimes.
