    Clear As A Diamond

I was 35, married 16 years to my first love. He was an alcoholic who found a girlfriend. I tried to change myself, used seduction, tried to be friends with his gf (pathetic, I know) and basically tried to carry on. He was gone 1 year before I admitted to myself that it was over...

    It's in my jewelry box.

I don't see the point in wearing it since it holds no meaning for me. By law, I am still married, but in my heart, we've been separated a long time ago.

    I Pawned It!!!

That's right! It was worthless! Not that because I wasn't going to be married to him anymore, but because it wasn't even mine to begin with. He was engaged before and he had bought two sets of wedding rings. The small ones with the cute little diamonds right in the middle. He...

    Is It Really This Way???

I wonder what you think of this post by Scott Adams, creator of the 'Dilbert' cartoon. I love the cartoon, but his blog borders on misogyny in my opinion. As a card-carrying optimist, I completely disagree with his depressing view of the future of women and men. I'd love your...

I Only Wore It For The Wedding.

This is not what you wanted to hear, but you did ask. When I got married. I was a steelworker. It was an unwritten  rule in my business that you didn't wear jewelry. This rule was because of the power tools I worked with.  I couldn't wear my ring on the...

    My Wedding Ring

I put it away in a safe place.  I can't wear it any longer since the ring is too tight on my finger.  I miss wearing it though.  That piece of jewelery was one of my favorite and the sad part, I haven't been wearing it for months and months.  :(  I liked when my husband & I...

    Sold It For Scrap

I ended up taking it to a pawn shop with a watch I got from my EX for my wedding present. The watch is worthless, but the wedding ring was worth 50 bucks in scrap gold.  I never thought twice, I walked out with 50 bucks cash.

I Now Wear Hers And Mine

Sometime after we were married my wife developed uncomfortableness with her wedding ring so she took it off and gave it to me to hold. I decided to hold it on my right hand, ring finger. After she died a year and a half ago I took mine off my left hand and put it on the right...

    At the cocktail party,

one woman said to another, "Aren't you wearing your wedding ring on the wrong finger?" The other replied "Yes, I am, I married the wrong man."
