    Worst of the Worst!

My very first car I ever had was a Chevrolet Chevette. It was the worst car that I have ever had in my life. My parents only paid $100 for it. I learned to drive on this car. I crashed it....lost the breaks....pulled the steering wheel off while driving.....knocked a hole in the...

    My Mothers

Growing up my mother had this station wagon. I guess it was the mini-van back then and OMG it was horrid. Very long, dirty white and kinda beat up. I don't remember it having air as we were always rolling the back window down. It was handy to sleep in though. Toss a blanket in...

    Ford Tempo

For a time I had a 1986 Ford Tempo, and it was, by far, the worst car I'd owned.  It wasn't by desire, but necessity that I owned it. Parts were at best difficult to come by, the transmission tried to eat itself, and as insult to injury, only half the speakers...

    Ford Escort

My worst car was my first car.  It was a Ford Escort that leaked oil so badly that I literally had to stop every few miles and add oil.  Not only that, but the gears did not work, and it was nearly impossible to shift, because not all the gears worked.  Being on a...

    '99 Vw Golf

I had a '99 VW Golf and I got it brand new. It was the worst vehicle I ever owned. I will never consider buying another VW vehicle for as long as I live.  They couldn't give me one for free unless it came with 100% bumper to bumber coverage, inside and out! JUNK!

    Volkswagon Rabbit

Worst mistake I ever made!  I had been driving a 1972 Grand Prix, built like a tank, pristine on the inside, lot's of power.  But, it was having alot of mechanical problems & my personal mechanic at the time (my dad) was sick of working on it.  He talked me...

    My Car From Hell

The worst car I ever owned was a '96 Pontiac Sunfire, hands down.  And I've had a LOT of cars.  My '72 Dodge Dart didn't give me half the drama that stupid Sunfire gave me.  Every single time I turned around, the check engine light was on.  It took a year...

    Old Faithful...

She was a 1989 Mercedes that was on a job site in Beverly Hills. That car was one of the most faithful cars...ever! It got me through the worst summer just by chugging along to the beach (There was so much sand in that car...its still being vacuumed out). It all came to a head...

My First Car - 1976 For Pinto

No not the hatchback, but the station wagon. It was green and I really hated this thing. But it was mine and it was a stick shift, the best thing my Dad ever did was teach me how to drive a stick. Could drive a tractor but he cemented it with the car.  But the emergency break...

    Wasn't That Bad..

Okay so if I just told you it was a Honda Accord, you wouldn't think it was that bad. But let me give you the low down. First of all, my mother had been driving the car for 10 years. That's right. Not an exaggeration. It had been driven from Iowa to North Carolina about three...

    R.I.P. Bessie the Battlewagon

Up until about a year ago, I drove a 1989 Ford Taurus Stationwagon. Oh, how I loved her! It was like driving a jerky old couch down the highway. Her name was Bessie the Battlewagon, and with her American-made steel unibody design, "big car theory" applied. Hondas and...

    A Second-hand Hillman Imp...

was my "worst" car I ever had. I was in a very tight spot financially - had recently moved to Sydney and depended upon the bus service to get to work. Then the bus people decided to strike, and there was no transport for weeks... As soon as that was over, my wife and I...
