I Want to Stop Drinking Alcohol

    I'm a 34 year old man.

I have a beautiful wife and a wonderful son. Recently iv been thinking about my drinking. I went to a wedding at the weekend and drank to much. I also drink a bit at home 2-3 times a week. After the wedding I felt terrible. I didn't do anything embarrassing but I just genuinely...

    The Substance That Owned Me

I could never have imagined as a young girl the horror that was to become my life. How alcohol would own me, consume my life and destroy me. The lengths i would go to to conseal my sickness and obtain my poison showed no mercy. You don't even see it intil its too late. What...

    I don't enjoy the taste

but the effect is great. Thens there's the cost but the effect is great. Thens there's the next day effect and the fist effect is still great. 3 cons vs 1 pro. My list goes on and on like this. Cons win so I will scale back even more now on drinking.

    I'm afraid I still have a problem.

I want to control my drinking habit. Alcoholics Anonymous says abstinence is the only way for an alcoholic/addict. I know I'm one of the people they discuss in AA- someone who wants to be a responsible drinker (a normal drinker). I guess, I haven't convinced myself that I really...
