    An Education

I highly recommend this movie, such a great story and such great actings. It shows how someone can throw her life away, looking for shortcut to happiness.

Harry Potter And The Half Blood

Good movie, but not as good as the book. To be able to fit it in 2 hours, they had to cut a lot of it, and only stick to major incidents in Hagwartz. It was a bit hard to understand for those who haven't read the book, I had to explain so many things for my husband.

    The Patriot Review

So... yeah, this is a movie that I like, but bothers me because people seem to be learning history from it. I really don't like Roland Emmerich, the director of the Patriot. This is the man who directed such great (very sarcastic) films like the Day After Tomorrow, Independence...

I just saw this movie, it was part funny, part disgusting. Yet I have to agree with most part of the movie. Sacha has his own way of telling things, and it's so different.

    Von Ryan's Express Review

Now for an old movie I actually like. Von Ryan's Express based on a novel by David Westheimer and adapted into a film in 1965 directed by Mark Robson who directed a few popular movies but none I've actually seen. So we start off the movie with an American P-38 crash landing and...

    "Apollo 18", A Review

I went to see" Apollo 18" last night with my wife and daughter. It was not my idea, and I had read that even NASA (who had been helping them early on) distanced themselves from the project during production. Those of you that know me, might have realized I am a movie buff, a...

    Battle Of Britain

I see a lot of reviews of more recent movies. I thought I'd contribute a review of an older movie to this group. Hope you guys enjoy. The Battle of Britain was a movie released in 1969 and directed by Guy Hamilton. I remember I first saw this movie when I was in high school and...

    The Written Word....

That would be my ideal job...combining two of my favorite things....writing and movies, I like to think that I'm pretty objective, with a good grasp of the English language...and would love it if I could write reviews for a living...offering my opinions and insights on popular...

This is the movie I had been waiting for. The pinnacle, the very cherry atop the metaphorical sundae. A diamond in the rough, as it were. And I was not dissapointed. Set design was phenomenal, very careful detail was put into it. Costume design followed faithfully with the comic...

    Shutter Island

I saw the movie then got the book, I have not read the book yet. The movie is not something you watch just to pass time, it somehow gets to you. It's sad, thrilling and pulse raising, at the same time. You don't know who the good guys are, never trust anyone.

    Dijnn the Movie

I just saw the dvd of DIJNN the movie, and it was a joke! It is a big waste! No story! No imagination and the stars that were picked, just plain sucked! Take my word for it! Don't waste your money!

It happens in a Catholic school after JFK assassination, a story about a pathologically severe principal played by Meryl Streep, who keeps the students and nuns under her thumb, engaging in a war against a parish priest played by Philip Seymour Hoffman, after suspecting him of...

    Shakespeare In Love

I watched a movie with my family the other day called Shakespeare in Love. At first I didn't like it, but in the end I definitely did. First of all, it had brilliant casting. Gwenyth Paltrow, Ben Affleck <3, the guy who plays Mark Benford in FlashForward played William...

    Eagle Eye

They say it was a preposterous movie, not a single plausible scene. I have to agree to that, it somehow takes advantage of people lack of knowledge about electronic gadgets, yet I hear everyone felt a bit insulted by this movie! because it has real cars and buildings and trains...

    Battle Of The Bulge Review

Here's another fun war movie from the 1960s. The Battle of the Bulge was released in 1965 and directed by British-born director Ken Annakin (any relationship to Skywalker?). I was actually surprised this man directed the Longest Day, a pretty famous black and white film about the...
