    Germany

We have here in Germany a universal health system which function rather well.  They are never perfect but better than without such a system. They started in the early 1950s. But they made here all mistakes in financing the system which are possible.  If a country want to...

My mother had cancer when I was younger, and the only reason she is alive is because the experimental surgeries that ruined my families credit forever. The fact that she is in debt for reasons that she couldn't control is wrong.

The Time For Universal Health Care Is Now

Every American has equal value and every American deserves health care. Period. Health problems are scary, sure, but can you imagine only having to deal with that and not medical bills too? The fear of losing your house? The fear of bankrupting your family? The US is the only...

    Left Behind

I have been keeping up with all the health care info. It's really disgusting how the republicans tried their best to to keep the health care reform from passing in the house and the senate. I understand why they don't want to lose their precious lobby money. Who wouldn't like to...

No, You Do Not Want Universal Health Care!

Question  "I want to ask you what you would prescribe for the US health care system? How much government should be involved, if at all? "What kind of health care system do you think would be the best for our nation?" Reply: 1. All health insurance plans promote...

I Don't Think It's to Much to Ask

I don't think it's to much to ask for the citizens of the world's wealthiest country to be guaranteed health care. And its quite clear that our current system has MAJOR flaws. The US spends more on health care than any other nation, and our health care is currently ranked...

Has to Be a Better Way

So many people don't have any health-care and there are those like me who pay so much each month and still can't afford the co-pays to utilize the plan. Most of my Dr's are considered specialists which means $50 to walk in the door. Then when they tell me I need follow ups or...

    Actually, I Have It (sometimes)

When I live in Canada (like right now) I have it.  How cool is it to be able to go to the doc when you're sick (without checking with your health insurance plan, or your checking account.)  While I was employed in the states, I was fully or partially covered, depending on the...

I remember the H1N1 "swine flu" season of 2009 very well. People were rushing out to get vaccinated, scared half to death by the mainstream media which was pushing false reports that the swine flu would kill tens of millions of people and that only a vaccine could save you. The...

We = Massachussetts, perhaps the only state level Universal care in USA. You can even be homeless and be covered and you don't need any income, as it's tiered. Without an address, a person cannot get a "check" of any kind, so in that respect our Commonwealth Care health system...
