I Want Wisdom From Old Folks

Let's get some 70+ authors on the Experience Project 107 People

I think to qualify for the 70+ age category you

need to qualify. A good example! What was Richard Nixon's dog's name when he was California governor?

    I Soak It Up.

I think wisdom is a combination of knowledge gained from your own life stories with that of others and definitely includes older folk. They have done things that I will never do, and I have gained wisdom from their life. That of course applies to those people more knowledgeable...

Anyone Out There Want to Get Some Older Folks On the Experience Project?

If anyone has a friend, relative, or neighbor that is elderly, I think the Experience Project would be a great fit. It lets people tell stories and seriously, if you have 70 or 80 years of experiences, you are basically the gurus of life.

    Maulana Rumi

Two Friends A certain person came to the Friend's door and knocked. "Who's there?" "It's me." The Friend answered, "Go away. There's no place for raw meat at this table." The individual went wandering for a year. Nothing but the fire of separation can change hypocrisy and ego...

I Love Sories Of Old Days

I think it is odd to hear "the good old days" as many of these days weren't so good. BUT I love to hear stories of how people coped with the depression and life afterward. The generosity of people on farms, farm folks had it somewhat easier than town folks, My aunt & uncle lived...

What Have You Learned From Life?

If you are on this site and are over 70, I am interested in what you have to say. What have you learned from life? What would you do differently? Are there any big traps of youth that are now so obviously silly?. (I am sure there are wise people under 70, but these...

    Wisdom

Now I know all old people are not wise. Kinda a surprise considering how long they have been around =/ But when you meet a wise one, why would you pass it up to learn from them? They have been around and learned alot from thier time in this world. Be a waste not to benefit from...

To Have Known Then What I Know Now

What a wonderful concept.  Wisdom with out having to live throuth though times to get it. Why do you think when we are young we don't want to hear what our elders try to teach us?  As I look back on my own life and as I raised my children I often wondered about this...
