I Want You to Cover Your Mouth When You Cough

Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 93 People

This is one of my absolute pet peeves. I feel like there is a special place in hell for people who don't cover their mouths when they cough. I am not exactly a germifobe, but I don't need to be inhaling your disgusting germs. Here's a little story. I came to England in...

    Cover Your Mouth A.s.a.p.

I hate when there's people who don't cover their mouth and spread their bacteria all over everyone...yuck...I didn't know it was so hard putting one of their hands in front of their mouth  Geez it doesn't take a genius knowing this stuff.

Just Say No to Spittle Coughing and Sneezing

I am paranoid about germs to the point that I buy a can of Lysol before checking into a hotel or resort so that I can spray everything down to kill the nasty people germs from the last people.  I watch Nightline and I know the hotels don’t always change the bedding...

    Common Courtesy.

Come on people! It's just disgusting when you let the spores from your insides fly through the air and into the path of others! Use a handkerchief, because even though I carry germ spray with me at all times and it kills lots of germs, there is no way I'm shaking your hand after...

Please… Pretty Please! My little one did it, which is expected at 10 mths, but that reminded me as to how bad I dislike it. Of course her cough was with a mouth full of milk and all over me. Yeah please just cover first!

I just feel that it's polite and prevents you from spreading germs to everyone else, especially if you're at a dinner table. I'm not sure anyone wants your germs on their food. It's polite and it's a shame I see many people around the place who don't do it.
