I Was Locked Out of My House

DAMMIT! 165 People

    Not So Much...

I was locked... but I was locked INSIDE my house. Actually happened today. I was checking for air leaks due to the cold coming and I shut the front door and the door knob somehow jammed. It would not turn to the left or the right. Stay calm Silver, stay calm... so I...

    I Could See the Keys.

Back in 2000,  we had to have extensive repairs to the rear of our house, lasting for six weeks and finally finishing on 8th December, when the painter was in. I had an appointment booked  that morning - to have a tattoo on my right upper arm. I asked the painter when...

When I was a girl I grew up in an abusive

family. I was not allowed to play with or talk to other children nor go outside without reason. Evry now an then my mother would give me promotion to walk down to the farmers market to get what we needed at home. The only reason this was allowed was they thought it was...

I sometimes wish I was locked out of my mind.

I sat in a McDonalds eating dinner, feeling numb because what started out as an excellent day went unfortunately wrong. As the salt on my French fries bit at my tongue, soft and gentle tones came into reason. Classical music was playing. A beautiful symphony, actually. I cannot...

    Why We Need A Hide-a-key...

One Saturday afternoon a few weeks ago, I was hanging out at home when my friend stopped by for a bit. Before she left, she noticed a movie that was sitting on the entertainment center and asked to borrow it. A little while after she left, I was going to watch something else...

    Latch Key Kid

I grew up a latch key kid. Sadly, I didn't have a key of my own but rather we had one spare key in our garage. One day I came home and the key was no where to be found. This was before cellphones or anything else and my parents were hours away from being home. I was so mad...

    Ugh...

Lmao! As funny as it sounds.. It's not. =.= I've been locked out numerous times. But the most recent time was a few weeks ago. We, my mom, my sister, and I, had been getting ready to leave to go to the store to get groceries. And, well, I guess this sort of counts, but...

    I admit it - I like to cross-dress.

Sometimes, I would put something on, and just for a bit of a rush, take a quick walk around the outside of the house (either from the front door to the back door, or visa versa), at night, with the porch light on. The risk of being seen was very exciting and arousing. One night...

My landlords house was foreclosed on

and Im a tenant on his property. Without receiving proper notice, me and my kids were locked out of our house, given minutes to gather our things and leave. Anyone else have any an experience like this? If so, what happened as an end result? Is there any legal recourse?

I locked my keys inside with my sleeping

daughter. I had to disassemble my sliding glass door from the outside. Luckily I had tools.

    Frequently, Unfortunately

The first time it happened was while my dad and I were tossing firewood into the basement, so I had to wriggle through the tiny basement window, dig my way through a pile of wood and force the basement door open. The next time I just went in through a open window. The last time...
