I Wear Contacts

Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 59 People

I'm legally blind. I have all sorts of problems

with my eyes, I've got astigmatism and amblyopia, and since my eyes are blue they are very sensitive to sunlight (which I don't like much anyway). I am so glad I still can see because if I couldn't, a lot of joy would definitely be stolen from my life.

I don't just wear any contacts.

I wear contacts that change my eye color. I have a bunch of them if you are wondering why my eyes are different colors in my selfies.

One time I fell asleep with them on (I don't

know how I forgot to take them out) and I woke up the next morning with the ability to see (my vision is really really bad) and I was thinking in my half asleep faze "MY EYES!!! THEY'RE CURED!!!!" And then I realized my contacts were in my eyes still.......

If they are in, I can see distance great,

but reading and typing, no way. If I take them out, I can read and spell just fine. I just want to apologize for all my typos because I try to catch them and it probably makes me look dumb that I can't spell.. But really, I just need better contacts.
