I Wear Thongs Forum & Chat Board | What would underwear be like in the future?

Every decade, a new style of underwear is invented, and I am wondering whether there would be a new style of underwear invented in the near future. I think thong/g-string is the greatest underwear invention that mankind has ever seen, but do you think there would be a new style of underwear in the future that would be as attractive as a thong.



What would thongs be like in the future?

Many females wear thongs, and the number of females wearing thongs has increased over the years. Many females would be starting to wear thongs during adolescence - I've known many girls who started to wear thongs at the age of 13. 13 is quite a young age to start, but I think in the future, females will start to wear thongs at a younger age. Kids today learn things quickly, and due to the openness in society, kids are more exposed to things like thong. What do u guys think?



What would thongs be like on men in the future?

Number of males wearing thongs has increased over the years, but still not a lot of men wear them (about 0.5% of the men's population in the world). I think the population of men thongers would constantly, but slowly increase in the future.

Imagine a world where thong became the most worn underwear for both men and women.  If that happens in the future, I think there would be advantages and disadvantages. A good thing for guys would be that, a majority of the women would be wearing thongs.  Men find women who wear thongs sexy, so it would be great for men to see more women wearing thongs. Furthermore, if thong was worn by most men; men would not be criticized for wearing thongs.

However the disadvantage would be that men thong wearers would not feel special anymore. I think a thong makes a guy feel different from other guys who don't wear thongs. If thong was worn by most men, then men who wear thongs would not feel special at all,  and thong would just become a way of life for men, How boring would that be?



Anyway I would like to hear your opinions about this subject.

P.S: I think my grammar is terrible. If anyone sees a grammatical mistake then please comment on what the mistake is and say why it is a mistake.

I AM A MAN.  AND GUESS WHAT? I WORE A THONG WHEN I WAS  A TEENAGER YEAYS AGO--20 OR SO, IN HIGH-SCHOOL,WE HAD THONGS BEFORE THONGS WERE POPULAR. THEY WERE CALLED JOCKEY STRAPS.

ALSO EVEN THOUGH I AM MALE WORKING  IN A CLOTHING STORE-- DON'T BUY YOUR THONG TOO TIGHT --MAKE IT COMFY.

 Though thongs are sexy I feel the japanese fundoshi will take over in a short while. While the female fundoshi is easy and simple, the men's is a little complicated. 

Thongs and g-strings aren't modern, they're just modernised versions of underwear (or outerwear) worn by indigenous peoples before western clothing caught up. It was the de facto underwear in most cultures owing to the simple design and minimal use of material, which was a economic requirement i'm guessing. During the world wars, materials were scarce so boxers or other such underwear weren't feasible, so the generic briefs were made and donned in the masses.

Future underwear I don't know what it might be like, but freedom and acceptance of people to wear what they like without ridicule or prejudice would be well welcomed. Hopefully the attitude of people in the future will be much much more open and not like what it is today. Temperature controlled underwear for guys would be a good too.

 I wouldnt be surprised if thongs got popular for men,anythings possible 

Hi, During the 1980s thongs for men were much more in the shops, thats when i started wearing them and because they were in all the shops men were curious and bought them, once you own thongs then you can make a choice about wearing them on a daily basis also if men are buying thongs "regardless of whether they get into wearing them" and they see another man wearing them it is not such an issue. With regard to the future i cannot see thongs for men becoming the everyday item of underwear simply because they are expensive if you buy decent well fitted and comfortable ones, tacky if you don't and you can only buy from mail order sites which in probability not a large percentage of men are going to, just the ones who care about these things. Personally i wish i could go and live somewhere hot and only ever wear a thong....
