Back Home Now - Tired But Very Happy

My daughter's Godmother recently died and my daughter wanted to attend the memorial service. But as she lives on the East Coast and the memorial service was in Chicago this entailed a road trip and I was invited to tag along. She got a whole week off plus her weekends on either...

    Hmm Road Trip Mark 1

No plan, just head out til we couldn't go any more, find a motel and then keep doing that til we got back to where we needed to be to catch the planes out to our respective destinations. Met up with a friend in LA - I was already there working for a few days at a convention and...

    Husband Is A Trucker...

...so I went on several road trips. Even when we are on a holiday trip, we never stay longer than one or two days. Unsteady trucker behaviour.

Please read the first part here: http://www.experienceproject.com/stories/..., if you haven't done so. It's not mandatory, but it's what brought me here. I took the first motorway I saw and headed in the direction of Berlin again, or so I thought. I had driven for a while when...

I had a 5 hour drive with my dad yesterday.

It was actually pretty fun because I had a bunch of Gabriel Iglesias clips stored on my phone, so my dad let me play them on the car radio. We were laughing the whole drive!

    Spontaneous Road Trip

I was living in the S.F. Bay area and it came time for 2 weeks vacation.  I packed my suitcase, took a big wad of cash out of the bank, stocked up on recreational chemicals, and took off for the open road with no preset plans whatsoever! I took whatever highway, exit, and...

    Road Trip Mark 2

Same scenario as Mark 1.  No real destinations, no hotels booked, just the car, a map and a reason to be back to turn over the car and fly back to respective destinations.  I flew in from UK and my friend from the Caymans, we met up in Houston.   First part...

I Think I Should Do It Again...

Just about half a year after the fall of the Berlin Wall, curiosity got the better of me and I sold my car, bought a van, put a mattress in the back, blinded the windows, packed camping cooking gear and on my way I went. East-Germany and Russia were (and in a way still are...

    Hell On Wheels.

So y'all wanna hear about my road trips, huh?  I have been on a million family road trips, since my family  can't really afford to use any other method of travel.  Plus my dad has always been a big fan of them, since he can control where we go, how we get there...

So, I live all the way in Kansas,

(which is a state in the U.S) And a few summers ago my family decided to rent a RV and go to Canada. We were traveling for a week. We stopped at a few places as well. First, we went to Missouri...We blew the two front tires and ended up crashing. On a high way. At midnight...
