I may be young and seem like one of those people

who would have spent my life inside. Of course there were times I was inside. I did play outside, mostly in the dirt and mud. Hehe. I remember one time I'd pretend to dig up bones of dinosaurs, and go exploring in the woods. My friends and I would often pretend we were...

In some ways, I have little room to talk.

I'm electronically connected these days 24/7.  However, there's a huge difference between myself and the youth of today. I never darkened the doorway unless I had to as a kid.  I lived outdoors most of my waking hours.  Kids today don't venture from the...

I even woke up early. I was hardly inside and was always in the yard with my dog. I had my own little table outside which I called my office and I pretended I had a job which was interviewing my teddy bears. I used to interview my dog and my teddy bears and I used to pretend I...

..it could easily become a fort, spaceship or army tank rolling down the hill. We built treeforts and plenty of other hideouts. Sometimes in summer we would zoom our bikes down the hill-off the dock-and into the river! Dive down with a rope, haul 'em up,and repeat the maneuver.In...
